Riot bans players who play off-meta picks/strategies??? Please respond, Riot.
I know I'm kinda late into the party, but this stressed me out more than it should have for something that's just a game.

So, a guy who is pretty much a one-trick pony Singed main so much so that he even plays Singed support ended up getting reported several times by his teammates which resulted in him getting temporarily suspended.
Now, to clarify, player AdellaideSkyhart, even though he plays Support Singed WITH Smite, he actually tries his best to communicate with his team, and win the game. Yes, he plays Support Singed with smite to try and counterjungle at the start, and he doesn't even buy a Sightstone. But he actually tries to win the game, and his win rate is pretty decent too. He even discusses his strategy with his team. Despite that, Riot manually checked the reports done against him, and suspended him.
So, the guy sent a message at Riot support. This is the response he got from them.
"I understand you want to play Singed Support, however, your teammates do not want you to play Singed Support."
I'm sorry, what???[zombie-brand-mindblown]
Since WHEN do your teammates or anyone else in this game dictate you what NOT to pick in any given situation?? Since when does anyone dictate you how you are gonna play? You know, I complain a lot whenever someone in my team plays something like f.e. Support Fiora, and they don't even buy a Sightstone. But you know what I don't do? Report them for that, and/or wish them to be banned for it. That's nonsensical.
What's with the artificial rules?
I try my best to co-operate with my teammates, and fill in the needs of our team, I rarely will play something weird, but I straight-up refuse to be your meta-whore. I don't approve of weird strategies, but still I am willing to defend the right of every player to play the game however they want so long as they try their best for the team to win, and they are not harassing anyone. And by harassment I obviously don't mean "playing something your teammates don't want you to", that's not harassment, that's just other players disagreeing with your strategy.
Or you mean to tell me players who play something like Roaming Shaco/Twitch, or they were playing Support Zyra before Support Zyra became meta, or they play AD Jarvan, etc. should be banned too?
I made a promise long ago that I would quit this game if Riot ever prohibited players from using an unconventional pick/strategy.
I am expecting an answer from you, Riot. My decision will be based on your answer.
