Do restrictions/bans expire?

So i saw a thread that explained the restriction and ban system which is: 10 game chat restriction 25 game chat restriction 14 day account ban Permanent account ban

I recently got the 14 day account ban. Lets say I don't type anything in chat and I'm not reported for months or a year and if I suddenly flame again, will my account continue to permanent ban or because the behavior was good for a while the restrictions are reverted and I start from the beginning with 10 char restriction or maybe 25 restriction?

If you show an extended period of reformed behavior after the 14 day ban (IIRC something like 6 months, varies based on how much you play) you can move back down the tiers.

They do decrease in severity over a number of games played, not a set amount of time. We don't, however, have the information on the number of games required or the frequency of unreported games necessary to decrease a ban's severity.

So yes. Good behavior may drop you down from the state you're currently in, where your next ban will be a permanent one. But since you have no way of knowing when and if that happens, I'd just err on the side of good behavior in general. :)

Note is reformed behavior saying nothing isn't really reforming= its neutral at best you have to actively show the system you've changed for the better
