I believe my permanent suspension is unjustified.

Hello,

I am permanently suspended because I admitted in a support case that I was given my account (this account) by a friend. He played League of Legends for a few weeks and did not like it. And when I told him I wanted to start playing league, he gave me this account. That was in October of 2015. A few days ago, I made a support ticket asking if my account name could be changed. Within this ticket, I said that I was given this account. The unhelpful person who replied basically told me that being given an account is against the Terms of Use and promptly permanently banned me. I had absolutely no idea that being given an account is grounds for permanent suspension. When I was given this account, it was only level 12 and had no history of RP purchases. I can understand Riot wanting to protect their merchandise by being strict about the sale and profit of accounts that contain a high level or a high amount of skins/champs, but this account was not sold nor bought, it was only given for free, and there were no skins on the account when it was given to me. In the last month, I have spent roughly $300 of my own hard-earned money on RP for this account. If I didn't have so much time and money invested in this game, I would just make another summoner account and move on with my life. But the way I was handled by Riot "Support", and the amount of money I have lost to this account being banned is really rubbing me wrong. I am asking that my account be unbanned because I believe what has happened to me and my account is completely absurd and unjustified. I was ignorant to the rule, and I don't believe I should punished so harshly and lose all of the time and money I have put into my LoL account. Thank you

P.S. I love this game and for this to have happened to me is really just making me want to not play the game. I can't believe my favorite game company would treat their long time fans this way. It's saddening.

Like I said in the last post (incorrect board), account sharing is against the rules.

You asked me how your friend would go about recovering the account since he's the only one allowed to do it. He would submit a Support Ticket. However, since it's highly likely he'd only be doing it just to give it back to you, I don't know if Player Support will help.

Don't play on anyone else's account, and don't let them play on yours! If you're going to break the Terms of Use I don't recommend pouring lots of money into the account.

Hi, I can see the confusion in this post. This account was not given to anybody. I don't know who this person is posting on my account but they have my information and my account is compromised. For whatever reason, they have not changed the email or password on my account yet so I am still able to sign in. I discovered my account was compromised a few hours ago and thought I'd check my forums and supports and sure enough, this person is trying to hi-jack my account. Whoever the idiot is, he managed to get my account perma-banned though (obviously). I have posted a support ticket to recover my account and hopefully it will be unbanned. I am going to be really upset however if a hacker has managed to ruin my LoL account for good, Do you guys know if the support ticket will actually help?

There are clearly some security issues here.

In some cases it is in the best interest of the account holder, as well as Riot, to leave the account in permanent suspension if security can not be reestablished.

You may need to consider this to be a time to cut your losses.
