I honestly dont see how this is severe enough for a ban. I've seen people say FAR worse and not even get chat restricted

You also WHERE being pretty toxic enough to deserve a punishment. Take your negativity to a punching bag or something. In any case, whether or not it deserves a 14-day ban depends on your previous punishment.

Even if it isn't edited, that chat could still lead to a punishment.

No reason to assume that the chat logs are tampered with, since there's no harm even if OP is lying.

There's no end-game to it. Riot isn't going to go, "Oh no! I guess we have to reverse your ban because you have community support." They'll just reveal that the OP was hiding something.

So unless someone blatantly leaves something out (like posts chat logs that only contain "game 2") I feel like there is no reason to not take someone at face value with situations like this.

You say that as if you know for certain that someone did or did not get punished. Do you have some sort of insider view into the punishment system? Or are you just assuming since that one person who flamed you to all holy hell didn't end up here on this board and make a complaining post?

There is no guarantee that you get any feedback for reports. This has been said many times here on these boards.

You say no need for condescending remarks, but just read your own message. "Do you have some sort of insider view into the punishment system? Anyway, it's already been confirmed by Riot that I was given the wrong chat logs. The real reason that I was banned was for typing "toxic" things to a friend even though we were both kidding

Do you remember saying anything worse in pre/post game chat? Those are scanned as well, but they are not included in the logs you are given.
