I just got a 14 day ban for ONE GAME, no prior warnings, NOTHING. Just one game, and a 14 day ban. This is at level 26 after I have gotten upwards of 10 key frags for sportsmanlike behavior. I even got 2 of those frags today. I was toxic in this game because as I was jungling, I had middle and bot lane just camping out my mobs. My lanes would just bm and bully and say bad jungle if I asked for help. It destroys a lot of my faith in this company to see I'd have such an unenjoyable game, then get banned for 2 weeks over 4 people teaming up on me, 2 being a duo that didn't speak very proper English.

It was actually 2 games, and both are displayed in your reform card. You should post them here if you disagree with being banned for them.

I'd be a lot more inclined to if they gave you the actual convo; but I think it's quite unfair how it's just a chain of my replies.

We don't post the chat from other players, but I can tell you they did nothing to deserve what you said to them. You have about 5x the chat quantity as the other 9 players in the game combined.

This was your chat before anyone else in the game said a line of chat:

They have wronged just as much as I have, the difference is they got one report each, I got four.

Nobody was trash talking you.

4 reports don't count more than 1 report. A report is a boolean flag. If a player is reported, that game is reviewed.

Think of it in this way also, if you know the streamer/youtuber Trick2G, it's like what he types in his chats when he's raging/flaming. He does it out loud and he types like this "Maokai you jf98aejy4i8jtgsa8oefhfuacamsf 9et" gibberish so you don't ACTUALLY flame in chat, while he's saying out loud what he really wants to say. It's a great way of being a alternate for flaming others and if you have to then just mute after. The less you gotta worry about, the more you can focus in game.

As others have said only your chat is shown because only your behavior is being judged in your case, and the same would be done if/when the other people acting up are punished as well. Other people acting up does not give you a free pass to act up yourself; in other words the "they started it" excuse doesn't fly here.

Reports only flag a game for review (keyword: review) rather than assign guilt, hence why only one report is needed to do so; multiple reports don't change that. Now for a first offense to be a 14-day ban you would have had to use hate speech, racist comments and/or wish death on someone, intentionally fed and/or trolled via gameplay. Unfortunately we can't provide much in the way of help without chat logs, so if you're actually looking for help then please post them here in their full unedited entirety.

The reason it's only your chat is because you have total control of what you say.

What others say doesn't give you a "get out of jail free" card, you are being held responsible for YOUR actions. Not what joeschmoe2516592018 and janedoe1036592717 says.

Also, that's like if you took one person into custody from a gunfight, disposed of the other suspect's gun, and said only the one being prosecuted is in the wrong and here's all the evidence we have in the case...

Because it only takes 1 report to flag someone, additional reports don't do anything beyond what the first one does.

Think about it this way: you're not being compared to how bad they were, but you're being compared to how the rest of the community has handled similar situations. You're far from the first one to have someone make inflammatory remarks at you, we all have been there and managed to keep cool in our responses.

You can't make real world equivalent of online play, it just doesn't work.

You could have just muted them and been done chatting with them. Instead you retaliated and continued the attack.

None of the other players had a gun to your head forcing you to chat in a specific way. It was completely your choice.

And as DrCyanide said: 9 reports does the exact same thing as 1 report. It flags that game to be reviewed. That's it.

They could be punished now and you'll never know, cos the system is bad at letting others know someone else got punished (privacy laws).

You must have said something EXTREMELY inflammatory to immediately get a 14-day...but as Void asked, if you share your reform card people here will be able to better assist you in finding out exactly what it was.

The chat filter is to allow players who want to experience less inflammatory language to have that experience. It does not exist to allow or justify abuse, insults, or hate speech. Some players just don't like cursing, for example. The filter is for them.

I have the filter turned off because I don't mind the occasional curse word - I'd rather deal with a few curse words than miss something important trying to figure out what was censored.

That doesn't mean I'm okay with seeing a teammate call another teammate racial slurs the whole game, for example.

I agree with you %100 about both of these things, believe me...I was simply offering help in the only way that I know how...please don't shoot the messenger :(

Just be happy it's not a perm ban, my friend, and I recommend just muting the entire game every time.

As I mentioned, to jump straight to a 14-day means that you hate to have used 'hate-speech,' or been pretty over the top with what you were saying.

Seriously, just mute everyone before you get perm banned. I sincerely hope that doesn't happen to you, it's no fun at all.
