Summoners code is a joke

Nobody even follows it, it just serves there as a reminder of how people should be acting, but the truth is quite different. Everyone rants, flames, says racist things, tries to sound smart while insulting.

My rule is: be nice, don't flame. But when I'm faced with something bad I either just step away from my team, or don't participate.

So has the summoners code just become something out of a fantasy? Because I see noone even trying to hold up to it, disregarding some people that go on forums saying "you should do that, don't do this, I want you to improve yadda yadda", and they're just straight up annoying.

Just because you see other people following doesn't mean ever single person playing doesn't. I've been following it since I've been playing this game. As well as I see people following it as well. I also see people slip up and at least for me, if it isn't too serious I usually don't report them. But people follow the code.

I follow the Summoner's Code, I've never got a punishment so far and accumulated 1700 honors or so (it's probably more) on my profile over the years. I know what's against the rules and I almost always report those that break it. I should re-read it though, I noticed that things did change a bit.

Yeah Its there but no one follows it, Most people treat it like the butt of a joke. Rather than help players, the community rages and flames them for not being perfect with a new champ 5 minutes after release. I have done this. I told people I was new with a particular champ, asked for advice. never got any. Instead all I got were a bunch of people telling me how much I suck with the champ, how the other team needs to report me because I must be "intentional feed" and how I need to go die.

No the summoners code...as much as people would like to believe otherwise, is held like the butt of a joke. It is something laughed off, mocked, ridiculed and ignored. Why? because the whole community is nothing more than arrogant preschoolers who think they are all "god-tier" players, and they are happy to spit on the rest of thier team to prop THEMSELVES up. These players will stab thier teams in the back, then call to report thier "trash teams"

Yes not everyone follows it, but there are many more that do. I for one do and have never been warned nor banned since I first started playing during the Season 2 Snowdown Showdown. How? It's because I don't do or say things in-game that I know will get me in trouble. You claim that no one follows the code; if this were true then every single person playing this game would be banned. Since not everyone who plays the game is warned or banned this automatically makes that part of your statement false.

You also claim that everyone "rants, flames, says racist things, tries to sound smart while insulting." Since I assume you mean in the chat, again, this is not true. This goes back to my point from earlier where if everyone really did do these things then everyone would be banned from the game so again, this statement of yours is false.
