mute me
hi, ive been suspended for 14 days for general toxicity. can you just mute me for a few weeks when i get back? so i can just spam toxic stuff in chat and nobody will see it, you know, get it all out.

Hitting the Escape key instead of Enter serves the same purpose, and is something I highly recommend; take a look at what you wrote, and if it's inflammatory and unconstructive just clear it and opt to say something better or nothing at all. Chat restrictions don't prevent your chat from being seen anyway, it limits how many messages you can send; if you choose to be toxic with that limited chat you'll end up with an escalated punishment.
I find that a great way to avoid being toxic in chat to a player is to mute them; not only do you not see their inflammatory remarks so won't respond to it, I feel that if I can't see their response to my chat I'm less inclined to type to them at all. Moving your chat off the screen is an option too but I don't recommend it, since you lose all other chat information.

The point of a ban is to ensure you understand the problem is solely with your lack of self control, not with anyone else seeing it. Learn to control yourself and not be negative over pixels on a screen before you return.

You could always do what I do and mute everyone else. You tend to get in less trouble when you can't see what anyone else says. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
