Perma Ban

So I understand that I don't use the cleanest language at all times. But I am writing to try to lift my perma ban I was issued today. To start off I don't start arguments I stand up for myself. If people are old enough to lift the chat filters then they should be old enough to handle the words used. I received a chat restriction before but have no emails or anything. I don't understand how players who stick up for themselves when getting flammed by hateful players playing unranked can possibly be punished. Do you guys even look at the logs? Please reconsider I have spent good money on this game and refuse to put anything more in until this is even responded to. Oh and to all the people throwing down dislikes without responding, it's probably because you're the ones tooling on players trying to progress in peace and then reporting them for snapping back. What a great community! Hate me if you want but I'm speaking the truth. If a ban is what I get then so be it but it shows really bad customer service to shun one player and let the others off with justification. It's all so twisted.

You don't get banned by sticking up for yourself when getting flamed by hateful player. You get banned for being the hateful player.

The reason why the chat logs only show what you said is because that is the only thing that matters when it comes to your own punishment. You are responsible for your behavior alone, not for anyone else's, as your behavior is the only thing you can control. What others say/do in the game doesn't matter, and their behavior is not an excuse for your own behavior. If others are being toxic towards you first, the best thing to do is to mute/ignore them to the best of your ability and report them after the game. If you retaliate back with your own toxic behavior, all you're doing is making a bad situation even worse, because now the rest of your team has to deal with one more person who's arguing and flaming and not focusing on the game. This is why Riot chooses to punish retaliation, because really nothing good comes from it.

As for the other players not receiving a punishment, the Instant Feedback system generally issues punishments for consistent toxic behavior. This allows people to have the occasional bad day, as Riot knows humans are prone to have. If the other players were not punished, it likely means that they don't behave like that too frequently, but you were punished because this type of behavior seems to be frequent for you.

Lastly, this particular punishment was a permanent ban due to your history with the IFS. There are 4 tiers of punishments:

1.) 10 game chat restriction 2.) 25 game chat restriction 3.) 14 day ban 4.) Permanent ban

Generally, most people will go through each tier one at a time, but it is possible to skip tiers if your behavior is severe enough. You admit to having a couple "slap on the wrists bans," which I'm going to assume are the 2 sets of chat restrictions, but you don't recall having a 14 day ban. Either you are simply forgetting, in which case the next step for you (this punishment) would be a permanent ban as expected, or your behavior was severe enough to skip the 14 day ban and be escalated straight to the permanent ban.

EDIT: I should probably mention, if you want to talk directly to Riot to try and appeal your permanent ban, then you will need to open a support ticket.

Open a support ticket, this is the league boards, no one here can get you an appeal for a ban

Arbiters are very knowledgeable, show a little respect to them at the very least

https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us here is the link for you takes time regardless of when you submit it

would still recommend you posting logs, its possible to show the cause of skipping punishment tiers, your call at the end of the day

Post chat logs

You don't go from nothing to perma ban typically. So either you've been punished in the past(6 months) or we're insnanly toxic triggering the perma ban from 1 game post chat logs to discuss further

Hi everyone. First I just want to apologize for my brother and to anyone he has hurt. WuTang is my brother irl and he is a good person he doesn't actually mean anything of what he says he just gets hotheaded sometimes. WuTang rarely is the start of the toxic comments but he does tend to go overboard. In the last game where he got banned the team was harassing him about feeding and that set him off. League of Legends is just a game and it shouldn't be taken too seriously we play to have fun. Plz forgive my brother and anything he said to offend anyone.

KYS, racial slurs, homophobic remarks.... Things that are generally deemed inappropriate consistent harassment going out of your way to troll someone I'm not an expert nor do i know the exact rules, just my 2 cents. From what has been shown on the forums in the past

Again your chat logs would show that.

Post logs if you want any sympathy. In my opinion and experience reading threads like these, it's deserved 99% of the time.

Post what you said, those are the logs. We all can infer what was said between what you typed and whats not shown Edit in progress Nobody can understand what was said, unless you post the reform card that is shown when you log into the client. In addition you've mentioned you've been punished prior "slap on the wrist" guessing chat restrictions the punishment can increase even with you not becoming more toxic, as you have not become less toxic either. The idea you're suppose to become a better person, not remain toxic. So if you did not improve after the chat restrictions the next step is a 14 day ban, final step is perma ban. But please post the chat logs of the reform card you were given
