Suspension for calling someone out for being rude?

hello all, I was just suspended on my league account, this suspension followed a game where a guy told me to "kys" i called him out and got suspended for it. How can that happen...not only that but i also lost LP because i was starting a ranked game, that's a pretty low blow man... keep in mind, i have never been chat banned before...... here is the chat log "Game 1 LukeTheJuke24: how did i get no charges? LukeTheJuke24: cds LukeTheJuke24: kys LukeTheJuke24: really LukeTheJuke24: imma just feed LukeTheJuke24: not even kidding LukeTheJuke24: thanks LukeTheJuke24: ill report you too LukeTheJuke24: "kys" is banable haha LukeTheJuke24: no it doesnt. they werent born yesterday LukeTheJuke24: yes you can hahaha LukeTheJuke24: report my jg, just told me to kms LukeTheJuke24: not LukeTheJuke24: literally said, "kys" LukeTheJuke24: gj LukeTheJuke24: gg" (this edit is following the original post, cds means cool downs in its context.)

...yeah, this'll do it. That's a statement of intent to feed and an encouragement to self-harm.

You COULD send in a ticket due to the context, but repeating zero tolerance language isn't a good idea. Especially since "kys" followed by "really" is really unclear as to what you mean.

we won that game because i carried late game, and in the context, if you could see the whole thing, shows that i'm stating it as a question, kinda like, you would really say that? i said nothing of the sort to him, he told me to kys once i missed his gank...

yet in the text there is no ? to indicate it was a question or not. it looks like a statement of you telling someone to kys

top left corner it expands in to a menu ... click on support and create a support ticket

people need to realize anything you say in chat can be reported and then used to punished you.

stop using chat. there are 10,000 things you can ping in the game now... no need for chat

if you were a riot member and could look at the chat log, you would see that my comment followed his, in which he stated "kys"

but its a key word phrase that the auto bot looks for... you said it,. you got reported it . therefore it dont look at context.

I've been in games where someone called me racial slang, used all types of extensive curse words, and they did not get banned. There is no way that should happen...

There's likely a chance they did get banned -- you only get the alert if you're the LAST person to report them prior to the punishment. If they're one report away, or someone else in your game gets a report in just before/after you, you may miss the notification.

You said quite a bit more than just calling out someone for being rude. You also asked them to report your jungler, that's reportable.
