I'm punished for being attacked?

Basically I want to know how wrong/right I am in this situation. Below is the support ticket I submitted to Riot, just because I don't want to try to re-explain what happened. I recently received a chat restriction because almost every other person in the game reported me because I lost lane. The entire game flamed at me, on both sides, said very offensive things and would not leave me alone. I should have muted them, but the things they said to me were setting me off, so I responded with aggression in return. I understand that I shouldn't have done that, but who can handle 9 other people being incredibly rude and maintain a cool head? If you want to punish me for trying to defend myself fine, but I refuse to play this game any longer if all those people get to walk away scott free after basically cyber bullying me through your video game. That kind of thing should not be allowed to happen. And I for sure should not be the only one punished, if punished at all. Again, I accept that I handled the situation incorrectly, but I was forced into that situation because the players in the game were intentionally aggravating me. If you review the chat logs, one player openly admitted to trying to make me angry and attempting to see if they could make my cry. I'm asking for a full review of that game, and even if my punishment isn't lifted I hope you'll consider punishing the people who caused the extremely toxic situation to begin with.

You don't get punished for anyone else's behavior, only your own. When someone is being toxic in chat, just mute them. If you engage them in an argument all you're doing is adding to the problem, and the other players probably don't want to deal with either player doing it.

The best defense against toxic chat is muting, and to contribute to punishing them for their behavior you report them. When each player is judged for their actions they are reviewed separately, so that match and any history of negative behavior will contributing to punishment; if one player has a fairly clean record while the other does not, then most likely the one who is a consistent problem will get punished while the other is not.

One of the biggest problems in this game is report baiting. People will intentionally try to put you in a bad mood so that you react and they can report you. Just mute people after they say a SINGLE THING you don't like and you'll never run into this problem again.

Well, you know you should have just ignored them. You're not going to gain anything by responding. You're just adding fuel to the fire. That being said, it sucks. You got jumped and then the cops arrested you for fighting back because they all said you started it. 4 against 1.

The ONLY report that will get you punished is a legit one!

The problem is this isn't the only game you've done something you shouldn't. If it were, you wouldn't have gotten punished. Well assuming you didn't say something so terrible that you got dinged on a manual review. You getting punished indicates this is an ongoing issue, and not an isolated occurrence.

Also, did you report those other players?

What I meant is where is the support ticket you said you'd provide?
