Toxic Players

As I was playing a Rank Flex game with my two buddies, we both encountered a toxic player on our team. We had a Graves jungle , and he was going ham, Lvl 3, at 5 mins in enemy's jungle. My support and I went to help him and we didn't kill anyone. He got mad and said that since we didn't kill anyone, he's going to take 2 of my farm waves. He stayed longer than expected. Of course, being the bigger person, I tried to stay calm and not flame . but as he left lane and came back later for a gank, he went under enemies turrent and died and flamed bot by spamming pings. he came back and took my farm which i was way behind. I couldn't handle it anymore. Why do people even do this ... smh . My mid laner told everyone to report graves, then graves blamed everyone saying that their accounts gonna get banned. Please nobody deserves such a player. Bans should be more strict due to players like these. Opinions ?

Why do people even do this

This game is insanely frustrating and competitive for one and the main reason is because Riot isn't consistent enough nor quick enough to ban people for these behaviors.

My mid laner told everyone to report graves

The mid laner would then be busted for asking for reports, but like a lot of LOL rules, it's not really enforced even though it's clearly breaking the rules. Nothing will happen to them so they will keep doing it.

Bans should be more strict due to players like these.

It should and consistency is one of Riot's biggest problems in the behavior system. Until they start getting consistent and lay the hammer down, people are going to keep doing it and those people are going to see that guy do it and get away with it, then do that when they get frustrated.

It's truly a really simple thing that Riot doesn't grasp:

1- Person breaks rules and doesn't get punished

2 - Other people see the person break the rules and not get punished

3- Other people repeat that persons behaviors since they don't think they will be punished

And since this has been going on for 7 seasons, it's too late to even start slamming the banhammer down because everyone is going to say "I've seen 100 people do this and not get punished, why would I get punished?".
