This is a discussion from a ranked lobby that I played in tonight -plat 2 ish ( I obviously left the names out, just in case that was an issue on riot's part). Being quite the vet on this game, at least 4 years under my belt, it kind of pains me to say that what you see here is almost to be expected in lobbies. Honestly, amongst the many games that I have played, this community has to be the most toxic, racist, sexist... you name it. Dunkey made some amazing points about how this game went from something enjoyable to something so toxic and just plain old not fun. From people like you see above, to the many others that I am sure you have encountered.... it's just horrible to see a game in this state l. Although the publicity of the game will not crash based on the numbers of people that watch the LCS and the millions of players that join yearly, it sucks that the game has honestly changed so much. This change is solely based on my own opinion, but I'm almost positive that many others can relate. Why should one be banned for talking smack in a video game? There's obviously a point when one can go TOO far, but most of it is just harmless banter. Talking bad about someone who walks into lobby and starts trolling from the very start should not be looked down upon. There has been such a huge increase in the use of racist words and people hating on one another, that it is sickening. I know that the management of millions of players through a report system that is placed in the hands of said players might be tough, but honestly, this has gone way too far. Please god, clean this community up. Make solo queue enjoyable again, not something that I dread doing although i love competitive play.
