My Story (Mingsai from NA server)
Hello everyone, I just wanted to share my story with all the summoners out there and hopefully you guys will think twice before purchasing more RP. I will post the text from the thread between me and riot below but before I do that, I will just post a quick summary of what happened...
A few days ago my account got permanently banned for no real reason. I have been playing league for about 4-5 years now with no history of suspensions or bans and the only 3rd party programs I have used were teamspeak and LOLWIZ. Riot said that these programs were not the reason for why I was banned. Please read my story below just so you can be more cautious yourself. Everyone can have their opinions on whether or not I did cheat but I know that I honestly have never cheated before other than using Teamspeak and LOLWIZ which Riot says in the thread is allowed. My rank this season is gold which is actually lower than my previous 2 seasons in which I was Platinum so I don't really see how Riot believes I have cheated. They basically have banned my account permanently and saying they have evidence but are not willing provide any proof. In the end, the thing I am frustrated with the most is the fact that Riot has taken away 4-5 years worth of IP that I have earned fairly and a few hundred dollars worth of RP that I have invested into the account. They have the ability to do this at their own will without providing any proof. I know that they have some sort of security system in place to detect cheaters but it just doesn't make sense to me in my case because my rank is lower than in the past... I am losing more games than winning. Once again, summoners please read my story below and take whatever lessons away from it and use the knowledge before you guys decide to purchase more RP. As for myself, I love league of legends and I will for sure make a new account but I will never ever purchase RP again just in case Riot ever decides to ban my account again for no valid reason.

Mingsai: Dear Riot, I am not sure if this is the proper place to contact you for more information regarding my banned account (Mingsai) on the NA server. I just wanted to get more information regarding for why I was banned. It says that I was banned for using 3rd party programs but the only program I used was overwolf's teamspeak and LOLWiz. I have been playing league of legends for the past 4 to 5 years and I have been using overwolf's LOLWiz for the past maybe year and haven't had any issues. I thought it was okay to use someone posted it was okay to use on riot's forums (see this link http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/GD/ao7rYcrT-riot-i-hope-youre-not-okay-with-this). As far as I know, I have not used any other 3rd party programs to gain an advantage over other players in league. I was wondering if you could just please give me an update or provide me with any information regarding why I was banned. I have played and enjoyed playing LOL for the past 4-5 years and I would never do anything to give myself an advantage over other players.

Your account has been permanently suspended following the use of scripts, hacks, exploits or unauthorized third-party programs in League of Legends. Accounts that are caught using hacks to gain an unfair competitive advantage are subject to permanent suspension. We work hard to preserve a fair and competitive environment in League of Legends. Regardless of intent, use of unauthorized third-party programs is explicitly against the Terms of Use, which can be found here:

Mingsai: Hello SwainRen, Thank you for your response. Would you be able to tell me if I was banned for using teamspeak or LOLWIZ? Does riot allow summoners to use these programs? If they are allowed, I am really stunned about why I have been banned. I have never used any scripts or modifications to league besides those 2 programs above. If you could let me know if I was banned for using teamspeak or LOLWIZ or something else that would be great. I honestly have never cheated and have been playing league for about 5 years and have also invested a decent amount of money into skins. I am very saddened by the ban because I have never cheated. I am not sure what was detected. Is there any way that riot could reinvestigate my account because I know I have only used teamspeak and LOLWIZ, which I know many other summoners use also. If not, is there any possibility to have my account suspended for a period of time instead of permanently? I love league and I honestly never used any hacks or cheats others that what I said above. Our system has very clear evidence that this account was in violation of our Terms of Use due to the usage of scripts, hacks, exploits or unauthorized third-party programs in the game. After I took another look at your account, this was not a mistake. Using Teamspeak or LOLWIZ alone did not lead to this perma-ban.
To protect the integrity of our investigative methods, I will not be sharing more detailed evidence or specific details. We will not be lifting the ban on this account under any circumstances.

Mingsai: Thank you for your response. I just wanted to let you know my thoughts on the whole situation. As a summoner who has had no history of suspensions or bans for the past 4 or 5 years, I just wanted to let Riot know that I am saddened by the outcome. I can understand the ban if I indeed did cheat... but I know I never did. My clean history should give you guys an idea of whether or not I did cheat... my rank this season is actually gold which is lower than the previous two seasons where I was platinum... if I was cheating, shouldn't I be higher rank? I understand that whatever you guys used detected something suspicious but I wanted to say that it is evident that it is not 100% accurate in detecting cheaters. I guess I will just have to accept the ban and start over. I wanted to just make Riot aware that because of this inaccurate detection or glitch, riot has taken away my 4 or 5 years of ip and rp which is prob a few hundred dollars... I will start a new account again which will suck... and all the victorious skins that I earned on my old account will never be obtained again on my new account... but now I know that since my account can be randomly stolen away from me, I will never ever purchase RP ever again. Thank you for reading about my frustration. I know there is no real way to prove that I didn't cheat but I hope Riot re-evaluates their security system because it definitely isn't accurate. Thanks.

Your rank in the game does not necessarily have to reflect any use of scripts, hacks, etc.; many players use these methods and don't increase in rank. Hey Summoner,
For our part we don't want any player to be unfairly banned and it is exactly for that reason that we are very careful when we do have to permanently suspend any account. After personally reviewing and investigating your account, I am very confident in the results of our investigation. If you feel that this makes you not want to spend money in the game, I can understand but it won't change our stance in this matter.
