People take Ranked too seriously.

As the title said. Flaming is one thing but when you wish someone's death because he did badly in a GAME, well then you seriously need some help. I got it, you want to rank and all but sometimes I got the feeling that you forget about the most important thing. This just a game, not your life nor your job, just a game nothing more. Sorri for bad inglish.

People take competitive sports seriously (ranked league), and will swear at the rival team. People take practice games (Normal League Games) as a way to just have fun or practice.

I got it, you want to rank and all but sometimes I got the feeling that you forget about the most important thing. This just a game, not your life nor your job, just a game nothing more.

You forget that people play ranked TO rank up. They want to play competitive, they want to get to high elo, they want to make a job out of this game and possibly become an LCS player. Thats why most people are toxic and negative.

But for wishing someone else death, idk why Riot just doesnt block those messages. If you say KYS or %%%got/%%% in game you get an insta ban. So why not just block it? Legit makes 0 sense.

Edit: I like how Riot holds Feggit at such a high standard to block it on the forums, but not KYS. lol

If someone is entertaining and have some kind of stream and/or youtube channel he can make it his job regardless of the rank. Otherwise, if he is not master/challenger he has no reason to treat this game too seriously. And even then - there is no excuse for being aggresive towards others over a game (and no, it is not a sport, it is competetive gaming but not a sport in any way). But this kind of ager issues are quite common unfortunately. My way of thinking is usually this - if the game makes you more frustrated than enjoying yourself - do something else. Games are meant to be enjoyable I think some people should play fighting games insttead but then they wouldnt had anyone else to blame (except for tier list perhaps)

I think you're too sensitive. When people tell others to KYS and other severe profanities, it's merely an outlet for emotional expression. They don't literally want you to KYS. It's purely raging over the internet and heat of the moment. I think the bigger problem is people getting butthurt over some innocent anonymous raging that holds zero value. I don't think getting butthurt and irrationally angry is an appropriate nor healthy response to some stranger on the internet yelling "KYS **** **** *******". I think laughing at the kid getting riled up is an appropriate and healthy reaction. "LOL this guy is raging so hard, league is hilarious sometimes." If you're seriously getting offended at someone random telling you to KYS because you failed to ace the enemy team, or because you died to a jungle gank then you really need to re-evaluate your priorities and perhaps not be so emotionally invested in a video game.

I mean it is some peoples job actually. I am certainly more of a casual player but I totally understand people that get mad in ranked. It's ranked. Take it seriously or go play normals. Don't dust off a champ or play a champ for the first time in ranked, it's literally inconsiderate. I understand that it's jsut a game, you are going to lose games, but if you aren't playing to win you shouldn't be playing ranked.

If everyone is like "people take (insert game mode here) too seriously", nobody should play the game then right? Apparently all the game modes don't matter. Least to Most prioritized: PBE-featured game mode-ARAM-3v3 norms-5v5 norms-3v3 flex-5v5 flex-solo/duo. But Solo/Duo doesn't matter, I guess.
