Examining My Permanent Ban

Edit2: It seems the majority of people think this punishment is too harsh, although a punishment was needed. I have submitted a ticket explaining how I intend to correct my use of text chat in game, and I hope to have my account reinstated as a final chance. Edit: Here is a pastebin of the entire chat log attached to my perma ban. In game 2 we got outscaled and tilted off the planet. Game 3 every lane and role got outplayed and the game was done, we all agreed to ff and our top lane left. When reading chat logs, you have to account for context and in which chat the message was sent. Telling your cocky 5/0 opponent that he is horrible is a lot different than saying the same to your 0/4 tilted adc.

  I would like to get your opinion's on whether this is worthy of a permanent account suspension. The game was very evenly matched rank-wise (around diamond 3 MMR), however individual matchups were not. Our team had two players, me and my mid laner, who were on their experienced roles, while the enemy team had all five players on their main roles. In this game, all 3 lanes got absolutely crushed.

My mid laner became increasingly toxic towards me and blaming me for the losing side lanes. My top laner (bot main) decided to play his second Riven game to-date, even taking the time to inform me of this fact right at the start. My adc was extremely toxic and negative throughout the game and refused to allow herself to be carried. My support ran the wrong runes/masteries. I tried my best to farm it out until late game, but come 20 minutes the game was just too toxic. We tried to surrender, and it failed 3-2. At that point, I was stuck in a lost game with unfocused, AFK, and openly toxic players until 28 minutes. As always, I tried my best until the nexus fell.

 

Should I have muted chat and shut up? Of course. But when my teammates flamed me, gave up, and then held me hostage for 8 minutes, there was no way to contain my frustration. The intent of a permanent ban is to permanently disable access to one's account, and remove them from the community forever. Was this punishment justified?

  1. You only provided a single game. In reality, you were punished for multiple games, and 3 games were given in your reform card. You should post those games as well if you are truly looking for valid input on your punishment. Edit: It looks like you added a pastebin of the other games after the fact but did not update the post text.

  2. You have previously had a 10-game chat restriction, a 25-game chat restriction, and a 14-day ban in a short period of time. This means the next punishment of any type would result in a perma-ban.

If you agree with this, then based upon escalation, the perma-ban should be the expected result.

If you feel your ban is unjustified, you can open a player support ticket and they will review that case manually.

I'm not passing any opinion on your case; I haven't read through all of the logs, etc. I just wanted to give a few pieces of information that may be relevant.

I've said way worse and got no chat ban for it... They're times i have but i think they were worse than the other games. NO YOU SHOULDN'T BE PERM BANED, ITS BS, YOU DIDNT EVEN CURSE AT YOUR TEAM. PEOPLE ALWAYS TELL ME TO KILL MYSELF AND UNINSTALL AND THEY GET NOTHING

Wait, have you been temp banned before? I know someone who has said much worse and has received 4 temp bans on his account but still no perma. This honestly looks like chat restriction material to me permabanning for this on first offense is ridiculous.

I personally can't really feel sympathy for anyone who gets to the permaban state honestly, this game alone, no, but you were breaking the rules, flaming your allies when you should have just muted them.

However with how the system works, you need a SHIT ton of reports and punishments to get to permaban. If you didn't learn after the restrictions and other bans, and still continued his behavior, it was rather clear you weren't going to improve.

I really try not to do full-analysis breakdowns of chat logs too often, but I would like to at least provide some clarity in this matter.

In each of the three games you've provided, I've noticed what you've called "mild toxicity", and I call consistent and directed negativity. There is an appropriate way to shotcall through text in League of Legends; however, the all caps implicit yelling and the constant "you suck" messages are not the way to go. In each of the three games, while yes, you allowed them to play out, in text you encouraged each of your teams to forfeit the game, citing that your teammates are "stupid", "suck[ing]", "useless", etc.

While these chat logs in themselves aren't enough to warrant a clean account to be escalated to a permanent suspension, your account had already gone up the escalation ladder past the 2-week suspension, in which you were warned about future digressions with toxicity and negativity. The punishment was justified, yes.

Not the worst I've seen but I'll say this: You type too much.

If you would have kept if clear, concise and polite you'd still have your account. Pointing out mistakes and asking the player to stop is necessary sometimes but arguing on the regular will get you reported. If they start with you ask them to stop once and if they don't then report them. It sucks to be flamed but if they continue they will eventually share this fate.

you don't get permabanned for one infraction. I agree that what you have posted is acceptable and not really bannable behavior, but I can't advise you based off of it because a permanent ban would be a result of consistent reports, or cheating.

I've taken a look at this and these:

Game 1 - pure passive-aggressive after the half of your chat log. Started OK but you f'd it up. Game 2 - pure passive-aggressive again and not even after half, you started threatening your team that if they keep whatever up, you'd leave. Game 3 - "I am tilted", "i am d1 smurf", "fuck this ELO", "just ff", "don't waste my time, ff at 14", she's broken", "lost 4 games in a row because of trash players". Passive-aggressive and griefing again...

I've seen enough to tell you that you rightfully deserved to be punished. Riot doesn't hand out permabans just like that. To get a perma, you have to push through like a madman and not even look back at your prior strikes. You've gotten chat logs from 3 games that were sure signs of you being a dick and you've probably walked on thin ice for quite a while before you've been thrown out the door.

##A lot of people constantly say that if they are provoked, their actions are completely justified. If someone flamed you and decided to be a %%%% about it, then you mute and play the game. Then you block them and report them at the end of the game, listing the offences and explaining what happened. That's the deal.

Being frustrated a few times and then muting once you know you won't get anywhere with arguing is the key here, not continuing to pollute the chat for everyone - even if the rest of the people enjoy eating this shit and keep spewing their own.

#You didn't get a perma for this, you have gotten prior strikes before. #You had 2 strikes and this was the 3rd one that warranted your permanent ban.

I think I have been more toxic than this and haven't been banned ,but that was ages ago. And I hate being toxic. :( Feel free to start a smurf and level up with me. On a general note I try my hardest to never be toxic. Toxicity ruins the game.

To be fair though I have seen far worse from this. If I had you on my team on all those 3 I wouldn't care because that's not much toxic. One of the players I met is 10x more toxic. So yes this ban is wrongly done. Especially for three games.

I have over 2400+ games and I know for a fact that the tribulem would of saved you. The last time I was banned was ALONG time ago since I been playing since 2010 and I hope you find a new game ,or level up with me Mate. I'll make a new account so we can play together! :D
