Why are people saying this game is bad and/or dying.

So I basically came back after quitting for like a year or so and wanted to get information on what happened so far. Since I'm too lazy to track down the patch notes of all that time I thought I might aswell visit the forums.

I don't know but I feel like people are unnecessarily negative. Like not even inside the game flaming, I'm ( kinda ) used to that but here on the forums aswell.

Peope are mostly complaining about a lot of things and some not even in a constructive manner. I was clicking on the gameplay section to figure out what changed because I thought it was about exchanging tactics and having discussions about it but in the end it's mostly about "XY is terrible Riot please do something about it".

So after reading that I basically went into the game expecting League to be super terrible but it's really not. Like I've seen some strong champions pop up time and time again and there are still a lot of whiners but it's not like it has always been like that anyway. It's certainly not as bad as people here make it out to be.

I don't know what could be done about this, I certainly don't expect the people who post here to just change overnight. Maybe the "Gameplay" section could be split up into "Tactica" and "Gameplay Feedback" or something like that.

I also just found out that I won't have to worry about runes anymore and that I will get rewarded for not being a douchebag in a few patches or so, so there's that.

On a side note, for some reason I can't make posts on the gameplay forums. It says I have to be level 7 or above, even though I'm level 12 by now. Does anyone here know how to fix this? Thanks.

Basically Riot doesn't find it necessary to share how much the playerbase has grown. Thus all the conspiracytheorists grab their tinfoil hats and tell that the playerbase is decreasing.

Pretty much "I have no arguments but there is no proof against me either, which means I'm right"

literally every gaming community has a subset of people who are 100% convinced that the game is dying due to decisions that the company running the game has made. People were screaming about how an update to Minecraft would "kill the game". It was just a bunch of somewhat ugly blocks being added to the game. TL;DR: people always say this regardless

You typically hear the complaints from the people getting banned and they say they're quitting anyway because the game sucks... while the people who are still playing say "good riddance to those assholes that are getting banned. It makes the game better"

For the last one it typically takes a while for site to catch up with your client account, give it a day or two, then try, it's like that with the icons as well, also since you just got back, I recommend trying out FEK, the forum enhancer kit, it makes the forum much better, and even adds profile pictures! https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/GD/VZXIG5LR-fek-version-52?show=flat&page=9 go to that link to get it (It links to the boards dont worry) and if you want a profile picture, after installing post your picture on that post and ask for it to be ur profile picture, it'll take them a bit, and then you'll have ur pic(it has to be a square image or it will stretch weirdly though).

This happens on every single game forum. It's nothing new and most of it should be ignored since it's just people using it as a complaint box or to vent.

They all play dota and they r salty and mad that LOL has a bigger player base. (jk)
