Banned 14 days for "stfu"

I recently got suspended (FOR 14 DAYS) for being "overly toxic" and the proof was me saying "stfu" if that's not the most ridiculous reason why I got such a harsh punishment.. I was not flaming anyone I was not threatening lives making their game not enjoyable nor being toxic in that game period. I feel as tribunal is not taking correct actions and banning people for such small infractions such as the word "stfu"... The amount of kids who flame me on a daily basis for not (ganking their lane, having a bad game, etc..) and im talking horrible toxic kids who come at me and I report them and they do not get punished at all but I say "stfu" at the game start because i was getting pinged over and over again because i went to the bathroom before the game even started and came back when the creeps spawned is ridiculous i admit saying "stfu" wasn't the best way to tell people to chill out but I also think it is ridiculous how it got me a 14 day suspension. (I have a friend who was flaming riot in game and he only got a 14 day suspension and not perma banned or anything but a "stfu" got me such a harsh punishment"................. I find it ridiculous and things should be changed i know I'm not the only one who feels this way about this.

there should be an email saying why you were punished. check your spam folder.

also. right below the ban notification should be chat logs from the game that got you punished

did not get an email my phone wouldve notified me this is what i got when i hit copy text when i logged in

I think that's the chat logs that he's talking about. Should be anywhere from 1 to 3 games worth of logs.

I'm guessing you don't understand how the instant feedback system works?

Since Aug 2015, the punishment works in tiers.

  1. 10 game chat restrict
  2. 25 game chat restrict
  3. 14-day ban
  4. permaban

When you get validly reported enough, you get punished. When you get punish, you go up the punishment tiers. Extreme toxicity can make you jump tiers, and how many reports it takes to get you punished again reduces as you move up the tiers.

So the question nowadays is not whether what you said is "that bad", but more about "is what you said punishable".

Keep in mind your next punishment is a permaban, if you had your chat restricts and 14-day bans very close to each other, it may even take 1 game of mild toxicity to get you permaed.

If you value your account, I suggest you don't say anything at all and /muteall at the being of the game to avoid being triggered.

Keep in mind griefing builds on your current punishment and can also get you permaed.

It is possible to drop punishment tiers, it takes 3 months of neutral / positive behavior to drop 1 tier.

Telling people to shut up, calling them toxic, and asking for reports. Justified punishment. Take my advice: you don't have to tell people what you think of them; it will only get you reported. A single report is all that is necessary for the system to look into the issue.

These are much more likely reasons for your punishment. Asking for reports is a punishable offense, as it is classified as a form of harassment. Group reports don't make the automated system check any faster or harder, and it is an attempt by you to pit a group against an individual.

You also stated that you would begin dying on purpose, which is never a good idea (or helpful in any way for that matter).

Your chat was consistently negative throughout most of the match, but the lines I quoted above are the most likely to have gotten you where you are now. If you've had 10 and 25 game chat restrictions in the past few months, then the 14 day ban is the next step up regardless of severity of toxic chat logs found. So don't think of it as an extreme punishment for a minor infraction. Think of it as the result of repeat offenses stacking to net you a more serious punishment over time.
