Riot - Expecting a response on this issue.

Today I was in an ARAM game, which was supposed to be my only game of the day. Unfortunately I ran into a person who decided that Intentionally feeding and calling me a Fa*t and a Puy when I asked him what he was doing was the right thing to do. This made me ask the opposing team to report him because of the language he was using and his intentional feeding.

So the game ends, he OBVIOUSLY reports me for no apparent reason and I get the warning whenever a person reports you. I think nothing of it until LITERALLY 2 minutes later I get a message saying that my account has been suspended for 14 days by the tribunal??? Then I receive an email which includes the chat log in which I "apparently" was being abusive and its the chat-log of HIM BEING ABUSIVE TO ME. I don't understand what is going on here?? I didn't retaliate and any and ALL messages that I typed had no bad language, no offensive language or any negative comments that could result in a suspension. I understand that tribunal decisions cannot be overturned but you guys seriously suspended me for no reason.

**Maybe there was some sort of mistake where they mistook my chat-log for his, maybe there was some sort of mistake where for some reason my messages were misconstrued as his??? **

Aside from the fact that the tribunal system is a flawed system, leaving in the fact that it is run by human beings and human beings make mistakes, you have literally no way to dispute any findings. This is completely unlawful and unwarranted and should be addressed. I expect a response and a resolution to this matter because I have hundreds of dollars invested into this game and I will pursue legal action and a reimbursement of any money spent on this game, if this is not handled in the right way. I have been a loyal part of your community for years and this is how you business is handled? At the end of the day this is a business transaction and you currently have a very disgruntled customer.

For starters, you can't take legal action against them. You agreed to the TOS, which states that Riot has the right to suspend accounts at any time and for any reason. So yeah, forget that argument cause you'd get laughed out of any real attorney's office the moment they read the TOS.

More on-topic, there's not much that we can really do for you here. If you truly believe this bug caused you to get the 14-day ban, then you need to submit a support ticket to inquire about the ban. Be calm and courteous, as they're more likely to take you seriously if you're mature about this. Explain the situation at hand, and if you have any hard evidence, include it in the ticket.

However, do keep a few things in mind. First off, you don't get a punishment from a single game. That's not how the system works. You only get punished if you show an extended pattern of negative behavior over many games. Secondly, if this is a 14-day ban, you should have received two rounds of chat restrictions previously. This by itself doesn't mean you're guilty this time around, but it does prove you've been a problem in the past.

This is a legitimate reportable offense. That being said you don't get a 14-day ban from 1 game, you get multiple warnings along with chat restrictions before this happens, so you have quite the history of being toxic I would imagine.

You sound like someone in the tribunal. Cold, heartless and probably gets off on making other people miserable.

I just want to say one thing to you: However many people you ban, justified or not, it will not fix the problems in your life. The fact that you are acting like this is completely black and white and there is no grey in the matter is making you sound robotic. I hope that is not a quality you strive for in the Tribunal because you guys are forgetting that we are all human beings and we live in the grey. Black and white situations only exist in math and science where things can be quantified. Me hurting your feelings when I said "the sky is blue" is not a justifiable reason to ban someone.

You have not given me an actual reason why me saying what I said could be deserving of a suspension? Yeah I have said things in the past, WE ALL HAVE BECAUSE WE ARE HUMANS AND HAVE EMOTIONS, but you are not allowed to sit there and act like you can read out of the rule book and act like the rules are right 100% of the time.

If you cant admit that you guys make mistakes and a lot of the time people who don't deserve it get the full force of your "wrath" then there is something wrong with your humanity. Your tribunal system is in a way the very same thing you mentioned earlier "Bullying and harrassment". Please explain to me how you sitting there and judging someone purely based on superficial data, sending them a passive aggressive email and restricting/suspending/banning without any sort of appeal system, fair and not an abuse of power and the very thing you call "bullying"??

You can sit there and quote your rule book all day, but it does not make you right.

If you mention that you are considering legal action, Riot's customer service department cannot talk to you. They will have to close any ticket that you open and tell you to contact their legal department directly. Mentioning anything to do with lawsuits is literally the worst thing you could possibly do to try to get a resolution. This is applicable to any industry. Even if you were banned because of an error, and they are willing to unban you, they cannot help you with ANYTHING if you use the phrase "legal action". So I highly advise you not to.

Asking other players to report someone is unnecessary. If he gets 1 report or 2 reports or 9 reports, he's in the same amount of trouble either way. You don't get banned harder or faster from multiple people reporting you in the same game. Telling other people to report someone is toxic because a.) they may not agree with you, and b.) they probably don't want to hear it. But realistically, you were not banned just for report-begging. We cannot see the chat logs, so we can't tell you exactly why. If you open a ticket to request additional information regarding that ban, they should be able to help you.

Were you toxic in a game prior? I've heard of Riot banning people for games just for them to enter into another game then the ban comes after that game. Also there is 100% always chat logs that come with bans. What did yours say?

Until you post your reform card then I will assume that the system is working as intended. I hope this assumption is wrong, but history tells me it isn't.

"This made me ask the opposing team to report him because of the language he was using and his intentional feeding."

This is considered harassment. Obviously if we assume your story is accurate he "started it" but riot says retaliation is punishable. Mute, report, move on (if you ask others to report your breaking the rules too).

Reporting tier system says next offense is permanent ban, I strongly recommend reading though this board looking for similar issues so you do not lose your account.

Yes, I have been negative in the past and have been trying to fix that, which is why I try not to talk at all most of the time. But when I see a person intentionally feeding and I ask him what he is doing and I get answered by a slew of curse words and hate speech I should have the right to ask for him to be reported.

How is me asking that a "legitimate" reportable offense? Apparently just typing anything into the chat box is reportable now? How can that be an actual justified answer you guys are giving me? You are basically telling me that I am not allowed to type anything to the betterment of the League community?

"I can report you for asking me to report someone else for their misbehavior" Is that seriously what is being expressed right now?

Also, having the ability to suspend you whenever they want to or please is the same thing as phone companies charging you to end their contract early. There is a proof of damages in both situations and both are companies imposing things that are unlawful. That is something that has been seen in court and overturned in many places. So it is definitely something that could be seen.
