To answer the question -- yes. Hate speech isn't something that you need to use (or repeat) in League for any reason. If someone else uses it, simply report them. There is no reason it is necessary to repeat such language, and, as such, it is zero tolerance in all cases.

Is that a question, or a statement?

If it's a question - the answer is yes. Riot flat out will not accept hate speech in their game, and it doesn't matter if you're using hate speech to insult, repeating what someone said, or using it in an otherwise innocuous manner - hate speech is not welcome in League, and you will be banned if you use it.

If it's a statement...Yeah? So?

There are millions of LoL players, but only hundreds of Riot employees. Thus, the system must be automated. Machines can't comprehend context. If you think you were banned "out of context," send in a ticket. Although, the only time I've seen a ban for a "zero tolerance" word lifted was when it was something along the lines of, "kys? what that mean?"

"something wrong" aka violate the terms of use which you should have been noted towards with the message alongside your ban.

Afaik if you keep calm and don't violate the ToU within the next months the system can degrade your status which means the next ban thereafter will not be a permanent ban. E.g. if you don't do or say anything insulting for one year you can end up with a 14day ban if you do it again. Statistics spoken however, a permanend ban will occure short time after the 14 day ban is lifted because players would not reform.

If someone reports you hate speech tends to escalate the punishment to 14-day.
