The Problem with trading in Draft Pick.

Within the past two weeks, I've had first pick troll by offering to trade, and ending up not trading whatsoever.

The first game, the Top laner offered to first pick for someone. I asked them to get me Nautilus, and, in trade, I get them Yasuo. Once champions had been picked, the Top Laner mysteriously afkd, and, upon loading into the game, it had been clear that they intended to go Nautilus with AP/CDR/Armor runes and Masteries. They played the victim throughout the game, while I did my best to play Yasuo Jungle, A champion who I've only played once before in my life. In the post-lobby screen, the Nautilus flamed me by saying things like "Worst Yasuo ever".

(I'm not going to lie, I was extremely mad. I did say things such as "Stop playing the f****** victim" while the Naut was complaining about how he had to go Naut top when he had the proper runes and masteries.)

I just recently got into another game, where the first pick offered to first pick a champion. Once again, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, and I asked them to pick me Master Yi Jungle, if I got them Morgana Support. Once again, there was a complete lack of communication and I dodged so I would not have to deal with another awful game.

Why should I have to deal with flaming and LP loss for, what I assumed was, a friendly gesture to allow the first pick to counterpick? There is no good report reason for it, and I was unable to do anything other than take an LP and time loss, or endure a 30-50 minute game just to actually report them for lack of communication.

Is there anything that is being done? Is this a known problem? Is there anything that I can do other than just refusing to trade with people?

me and my friends that i ranked with have a rule we DO NOT TRADE WITH RANDOMS. sorry to put it in caps but ive had to teemo support cause of it in the past its a good rule to follow to ensure you are playing a champ in a role that they are designed to work in teemo tends to ks cause poison so it hindered our adc

Because most first picks tend to AFK for the remainder of the que after picking, this usually entails a coffe/pee break before the game starts. You are signing onto a risk when you trade with a random, so don't complain when you do this and they leave/troll you.

Do not trade with people you are not talking with or queued with. It almost never works out. So many things go wrong.

  1. They go AFK and you cant trade.

  2. You take too long to trade after all the champs have been picked and dont have enough time to fix runes, materies, summoners before the game starts.

  3. You agree on champs before picks, enemy team bans or picks one of the champs you wanted. Now you have to pick another champion which they do not have.

  4. Just don't. Only causes bad stuffs.

Yea, listen to the other two guys. Don't complain when you get trolled, it's your own fault. Victim blame much?
