I've been playing this game when Aatrox got released, it took me really a couple of months to get into the game, since I have never played any kind of MOBA game before, but eventually I figured it out, and how everything's working, with every single champ, there is. Unlike today, where almost every single one of them (skills description wise) has a Bible engraved on it. Jaycee's skills are easy to figure out, then take a look at, let's say Ekko's, Kled's, etc., it's a freaking book, lol. But hey, you gotta learn their skills and what it does, if you want to understand the game and gettin' good, right? I agree with that (kinda.) Anyway, I've had a lot of fun, man. Man, I used to play 12 hours a day back in season 4, it was such a great season. Played Morgana really a lot back then. I, literally loved everything about league of legends, but then I came to introduction to Nasus, who is, even today, and always will be, my favourite champ. Around 80% of the league players find this champion really, really BORING! I think otherwise though. He's interesting, he's strong, he's smart (when you read his Bio), he's massive, and hey, it's really a joy to stack his Q, kinda relaxing, it is something special I cannot express, or put in words, how much I love this champ. Matter of fact, I think I'm the only fan who loves Nasus this much, Hell, I even wanted to get a tattoo of him on my arm, haha, but never made up my mind at the end of the day. He got me to silver, he got me to gold, he got me even to platinum in season 6. My favourite season? Hm, that'd be either season 5 or season 6, 7 was okay, but this season? Well, in my very own opinion, the worst season ever. Now, what I find interesting is, why is that though? There are really a lot of veterans or just "mainly" "not-so-new-players" who find this season really garbage, I don't know why. I guess it's because of the new rune forges? The removal of IP? When Influence points were available, it took me about 2/3 days to get a champ, now, with this Blue Essence (BE) bollocks, I can't even unlock a new champ without actually levelling up, and when I level up, I still need BE to unlock (if I get a 6300 BE champ on capsule) a champion I really want, so you can disenchant a champ, but still it isn't freaking enough to get that particular champion you really want. At least with Influence points you could get bits of IP every game, if you win a game, of course you get higher IP, but with BE, you literally gain nothing. I got to gold 2 early this year, and I did nothing but running in circles. Win, lose, win, lose, etc.. Then got demoted hard from gold 2 to gold 5, as I've said, I play nothing but Nasus, and Nasus is the main reason why I am playing this game. Honestly, Nasus sucks big time this season. The introduction to conqueror, the new champs, buffs on unnecessary champs who were strong before anyway. This completely screwed him over, he is literally being unplayable now, and I can't even get 200 stacks by minute 14 without them and actually finishing the game by the minute of 25. Back then, you could play for an hour+ and still not winning the game, but today? This isn't the case anymore. I don't prefer to play a 50 to 60 match made game either, but come on, every game you're playing is basically way too short to actually do something. If they're snowballing, it's all over, you can't even comeback like you could back in season3 and season4. If you die once or twice, it's hard to get back on track. I've spent a lot of money on this game, and I don't mind that, maybe I've gotten too bad, maybe I'm getting too old to play this game? (I'm 30) who knows, but I'm not complaining hard, or crying like the rest of the players who're quitting. I love this game, and I love Nasus, but I don't feel that fun or joy in this game anymore, I don't find it fun, it's just gone in my eyes. Just vanished away, I don't think it has anything to do with my age, but I guess Riot's philosophy regarding change could've been said in a different way. Change can be either good or bad, it can't be "good" all the time, everybody knows that, and I guess that's what they're doing here. Maybe to welcome new players, maybe marketing wise, who knows.

Thank you for everything.

I agree, as someone who started playing in late 2017, I have no way of knowing how the game truly was back then. But I can tell you now that even in a short span of a year the game is very very different from what it was in 2017, too different. I still play and enjoy the game but if riot keeps changing it, I don't know how much longer i'll be sticking around, change is good, but if its not broken/complained about, don't change it riot.

When Influence points were available, it took me about 2/3 days to get a champ,

I'm not inclined to believe you on this. I think you're viewing the old system with rose-colored glasses.

Assuming that you are constantly in game and always winning at rate of 25min per game (so almost impossible best case scenario) you'd be getting 3.032 IP/min

Let's say you spent an entire day, no sleep, winning league of legends under those conditions.

You would receive (3.032 IP x 60min x 24 hours) + 150 FwotD.

Or 4,516 IP.

Almost 50% short of a 6300 champ.

And this is not including the fact that you need to invest in runes with your IP.

I agree, too many new mobile champs and remakes makes old school champs sub-par to what they used to be. I can relate to OP as ZIlean OTP player.

Way to long of a post. Needs better formatting, even though you broke it into paragraphs it still feels like block text to the eyes. Also, it's the loud minority that dislike this season. Those that do like it (it seems the majority) are busy playing League of Legends.

agree. burst is way too high and snowball way too big. every new/reworked champion gets insane mobility or invisibility and burst so that if they have 2 kills they can come out of nowhere and delete you before you can react.

comebacks are not a thing anymore. in past seasons if you had lategame champions you could play carefully and still have a chance. not now. the average game is ending in 30 minutes. if the jg gets a nice gank botlane and scores a double kill the game is over 9 times out of 10.
