Toxic Players don't lose games, poor skill does.

In any game were people play against other people to perform there best, it is natural to talk some shit. Who solo ques to be your team mates random best friend? We are here to win and play with each other for 30 min, not make you feel better. Stop reporting people who carry and outplay your ass 10 times over. If your playing like shit and someone points it out, then its obvious your playing like shit. SO suck it up and play better.

The only reason players should be banned is the following:

AFK SCRIPTS (hacks) FEEDING ON PURPOSE

Banning a player that is playing good and trying to win the game has no logic. Just perm mute them as a last resort or better yet, inform players on your 'useful tip screen' to hit the MUTE button. (or grow some balls)

Games like league that don't ban for toxic. DOTA 2 why? because they have employees with a brain and realize this is a dumb ban and mute them or put them low prio. This game is also climbing faster than league ever did, so get your shit together or you will be #2 in no time.

It's perfectly okay to "talk some shit" in League. You just have to know when to stop.

Also, it doesn't take "balls" to be a jerk. In fact, getting salty with someone who can't punch you in the mouth is about as cowardly as it gets.

Dude, I talk shit to opponents all the time. It's about limits. There's a difference between saying "get rekt" when you out-play somebody and telling somebody that you hope their mother dies of cancer.

Toxic players make a game not worth playing. I don't care if you're the guy who's going to replace Faker as best player in the world, if playing with you make the game miserable I don't want to play with you.

There's more to games than just winning.

Dota's two chances to pull ahead of LoL were:

  1. When it was released
  2. When they updated the client

Dota will occupy the same area it always has, no more, no less. Remember when Smite was going to kill LoL? Remember when Dawngate was going to be the nail in the coffin? Remember when HOTS was going to be the next big thing? Recall how Overwatch was supposed to kill League?

None of these happened.

Totally agreed. Banning people for not wanting to deal with trolls crap just gives the trolls more power and bans innocent players.

Also agreed. I've been banned twice. I just hopped over to my other account and the ban ended. The only thing that changed? I don't spend money anymore on this game and encourage everyone to do the same. DON'T SPEND MONEY ON LEAGUE. THEY WILL JUST BAN YOU AND MAKE YOU LOSE IT.

The DOTA Boston Major has also been really good and has blown League out of the water. The game is 10 years ahead of League and actually seems to want to keep players from getting banned.

CSGO is also beating out League right now as the game gives you options for dealing with trolls and can let one person carry a game all on his own, plus has multiple maps.

Anyone who thinks the way people talk affect the outcome of the game is kidding themselves, and buying too much into Riot's tips during startup.

You can mute everyone in the game. There is zero impact negative chat can have on your experience.

Skill is the only determinant. With that being said - if someone wants to correlate skill with communication, I'm not gonna argue that at all. But no one here has those stats anyways. Unless Riot wants to put those into Tips so you kids can eat it up too.
