Surrender Voting

Let me start off with saying that I'm not great at this game. That being said, there are times when I'm losing terribly, and everyone else is doing fairly well, or are even in lanes. I would never type anything that may tilt another player, but of course that won't stop them from the usual rants and insults.

Now, the problem I'm having is when worse comes to worst and the whole team is behind by a huge lead. You pop a surrender vote, and people either don't vote, or say no. That's cool and all if we're sitting at 20-30 minutes with some hope of winning. But in this scenario where your team just has a really bad comp, is dying more often than not, and still has no objectives by 30-40 minutes, makes the surrender vote fail frustrating. That can also frustrate players who think they can carry a game as an AP Evelyn, who cannot even duel the enemy's Thresh support.

The only thing that could possibly annoy me while playing league is wasting time because our team won't surrender, and the other team won't end because it won't be fun for them. When these games occur, a majority of the time for me it's 3/2 votes, or 3/1 with the last player not voting. I try to be as positive as possible when suggesting a surrender vote, usually saying that it would probably be better for us to start another match instead of continuing our clearly lost game. Now when the vote fails, I'm left with two options. Getting reported for AFK, or getting reported for negative attitude. But who wouldn't start feeling a little negative when a game is being driven 40-50+ minutes, when I could have started a fresh game within that time? To avoid the afk penalty forces you to play, and that might not even prevent the negative attitude reports... like what do? The ones usually voting no are likely doing it out of spite of you/another player anyways, and that would give them the right to report you for leaving if you do...

You have to wait until they score an ace before you start the surrender vote. Also, the first vote usually fails. I think Riot should lower the FF time from 20m to 15m or something now that the game is more snowbally.

The purpose of a vote is to gather the opinions of all your team, not just yours. You are within your rights to vote surrender if you wish, but your teammates are also within their rights to vote to continue.

If you want to make sure I DON'T surrender, keep telling me I have to vote to surrender.

a lot of players like to punish their teammates for losing/playing badly by making the loss take as long as possible. it is extremely toxic behavior.

If they refuse to surrender just do what I do. Stop grouping ever and split push 100%. You'll either win or lose faster than you otherwise would have. It speeds the game up and it's perfectly legit strategy.
