@riot We need a way to punish players for pre-game lobby behvaior

Reasoning. I'm kinda tired of getting punished via your 5-10-15 minute que dodge timer, when they are due to one of three situations.

  1. Teammate using racial slurs, insulting other players, talking smack, complaining, saying first time X, Y, Z with obvious intent just to annoy people; in the pregame lobby either as a joke, insult, or otherwise. I don't want to play with those people, noone on my team wants to play with those people, but I get penalized for refusing to play with them while they go right into their next que.

2.Player didn't get X champ, so they instalock some garbage then refuse to dodge, so you either sit there for 15-20 minutes (because you know they aren't going to vote yes to early surrender) or you dodge the game yet again getting penalized for someone elses behavior whilst they go on to another que, to spread their toxic attitude, and piss off more players.

  1. Player had their hovered champ banned away either on accident, or because their teammate didn't want to deal with it, or there is little to no chance that last pick mid laner is getting the flavor of the week, ect, ect, ect. So they get mad and again lock in something dumb and refuse to dodge. Meaning once again for myself and for my team I take the 5, 10, 15 minute que dodge even though I have done nothing.

Solution: Should be simple enough to track what is banned by who, get a manuscript of the pre-game lobby chat, and most of all, when someone dodges, let there be a prompt with several premade options, and a text field much in the same way you handle post-game reports. I don't know how hard that would be to integrate into your current client, but honestly it's a copy paste of the report system just in a different spot, and some changed text.

I expect flames from people. I expect to be ignored. But hey I burned through my 5 minute timer.

  1. It is punishable and is already handled: report at the end of the game, the same as if it were something that happened in game.
  2. Instalocking and picking something off meta is not inherently punishable. Doing so for the purpose of trolling, is, but it is much harder to prove.
  3. Part 1: Someone refusing to dodge is not punishable. Part 2: Them locking something off meta is not inherently punishable (see #2).

Allowing people to dodge would make matters even worse.

There does need to be a way to report more than in post-game lobby. Pre-game lobby chat is recorded and can be reported on but only in the post-game lobby.

I totally agree with everything you said, and I definitely understand.

My own personal remedy for this would be to give SPORTSMANLIKE players perhaps 5-10 dodge wavers for this exact reason.

Hell, if I had 3 dodge timer wavers, I'd be happy!

ONLY for SPORTSMANLIKE players, though. If you are unsportsmanlike, you don't get any chance to dodge...ever (or perhaps after 1 or 2 warnings).

What do you think about this?

How about you grow up and stop whining because someone hurt your Fee fees. Seriously, WTF does everyone want to cry and whiny like a little kid on the in the school yard just because another kid called them a name. Just grow up. Policing speech and further more the internet is retarded especially when its easy to ignore and move on, only children (SJWs) whine and cry like your doing. Grow some damn hair and stop crying about dumb shit when there are more important things to complain about. Like game balance. [sg-ahri-3]

{quoted} Player had their hovered champ banned away either on accident, or because their teammate didn't want to deal with it

While I agree with the need to be able to report in champ select, in this specific example, I would report the person who bans out a teammate's pick. Going back to your logic, if that person doesn't want their teammate to pick that champ, or they "didn't want to deal with it," then they can just dodge.

They're working on that. The IFS doesn't work on pregame and postgame here yet (been tested on OCE).

As another has said; post and pre-game chat is already looked at. Just mention in the comment box that it happened in the pre/post-game chat.

If it's pre-game, and you're worried about a dodge, just screenshot what you can that's toxic so if someone does dodge you can still report them via the support center. They'll move it on to the player behavior team.

PLease i need this, i just sent in a support ticket but I really need this. I got into a lobby with 4 people repeatedly saying to kill "n-words" and kept saying "we all know you should kill n words, what are u an n word lover"? i screenshot it and sent it in and its ridiculous id have to sit through a game with toxic people to report them and maybe theyll get punished, maybe not.

I feel you... just posted a rant because of trollers...the last game was awful! Something needs to happen, this isn't going nowhere!

Who you think you are to decide what other player should or should not play? Who you are to mark champions as garbage? What is garbage for you is not for another player. And who you are to ban champion your teammate wants to play, no matter how op that champ is and no matter if you will have to go throigh 5 picks and enemy team may pick it. It all does not matter - you have to be ready to deal with op champ on enemy side, rather teammate that will ho upsett because you banned his champ and try to make uou suffer on uou side. Grow up !

Hopefully we'll see it sooner than later, in the meantime you need to just stop dodging lobbies lol, your Q penalties were well earned and no one's fault but your own.

You the type of players who bans my Vayne mid with your premade team, You can check for op gg states, you can ask your friends to first pick his champ for him, but no, "who cares", "fk him", "we don't need him we 4 can carry it we have a good team comp" right?

In my opinion those people deserves the trolling they get, I will personally advice people to just take yasuo and hard shutdown the one who banned them (yasuo excels in farming and good with leaving all-ins safely, so you get 0 farm 0 kills and jebaited a lot = bad time )

luckily that thing never happens to me anymore, some players just appreciate Vayne mid, some just feeling ok to take weird picks that always wanted to try (usually dog sht and they just getting carried), happy ever after..

Talking smack is not even reportable offence, it's considered friendly banter.

Some people have different kind of humor than yours, that soft alienation and judgment is actually disgusting.

Nobody wants to play with first timers, but we all accept that it's ok, some games we have more weak players on our team, the game tries to balance it out anyways. Some games it happens to me and some games it happens to you, deciding that you are not going to share the load because "why to? and fk others" corresponds really well with the rest of your behavior of banning your teammates champions.

Ekitaih12/28/2017, 6:10:01 PM1 votes

I understand the frustration, but I feel your logic is flawed. Rather than playing the game that could last 15-20 minutes, as you stated, you'd rather take the penalty of 5, 15, and 30 minute timers as well as the possibility of a low priority queue. Unfortunately you can't really help when you get locked in with a troll. But you can mute and report after the game. If you don't want to give your team a chance, then your penalty is deserved because you decided to judge prior to entering the game.

You forgot the really graphic talk about what they are going to do/did to your mom, your sister, or some other woman. That one is REAL fun (read with max sarcasm) to listen to.

And the one where their friend(s) and said player decide to ban your top 3 picks you indicated you wanted to play because you got the role player x wanted and refused to swap roles with them. Best part with this is when after the first champ you want is banned by them for no reason, you pick champs you WANT banned instead of indicating a new champ you want to play. Outplayed jerk.

Alpha God Yiizus12/28/2017, 9:39:33 PM1 votes

Maybe learn to carry the trolls? It's easy you've been playing for 5 years you should be able to do it by now bruh.

Ellis Dee12/28/2017, 10:06:05 PM1 votes

we need a way to punish players in their homes when the computer isn't even on in my opinion. this company is way to lax.
