Bans?

Hey guys, last night i got really drunk with my friends and played league. We were having fun but at the expense of out two teammates and i let a lot of anger go because i've been having a lot of family issues. After the game i got off and passed out. When i woke up i was put on a two week suspension because their program noticed extensive vulgar language. I feel really bad and love the game.

Anyway, i was wondering if they would perma-ban me after this incident. So far, all i've gotten was a 2 week suspension, but is it possible that after 2 weeks they make it permanent? Ive never been previously banned and it was honestly just one game, afftecting maybe like 7 people. please share what u know about the subject. thanks.

Punishment is handed out in 4 tiers.

10 game chat restriction 25 game chat restriction 14 day ban permaban.

Riot does skip tiers of bans if the language is bad enough (this would include things like death threats, homophobic language etc.).

So TL;DR You are fine for now, but if you are toxic again the next punishment is a permaban.

To add on to what Awkward Couch said, it is possible to lower your punishment level by one tier if you go 3 months without receiving any punishments.

So, if you go 3 months without being punished, then you will be lowered back down to the 14 day ban tier, meaning that your next punishment will be another 14 day ban instead of a permanent ban. Going another 3 months will lower you down to the 25 game chat restriction, and another 3 will bring you down to the 10 game chat restriction.

They'd permaban you on the spot if that was the case. Be a good boy next time, or stay off league drunk if you can't and you'll be fine.

Will riot go from a 12 week ban directly into a perma, without giving me a chance to improve? i know someone who went to log in after 2 weeks, to find that he was banned until 2616.
