I just dont understand how i can go through a month playing and not leaving at all, Than have a bout of crappy wifi (which riots system is supposed to detect) and get slapped with a 5x 20-Min Leaver Buster. Aaaand i also have put like 50 bucks in this game over the past few days and when i am playing with a Stable connection I frequently get honored... Isnt there a way to lessen the severity of leavers???
SmokedAlmonds2 votesIt does go down, but it is with games played not time. So you just aren't playing enough games without leaving, it takes a lot, especially if you have had multiple 20 minute low priority queues. There is a message that pops up when your status improves but depending on how many games you have left it probably takes over 100 games without leaving.
You know you have crappy wifi, you need to stop queuing until you fix the problem. Not just hope that it doesn't disconnect you again. It is not "supposed to detect" this, this is working as intended. You are negligent in maintaining your connection.
berserkerhammy1 votesIt stated last leaver patch that it would in fact detect if it was a connection problem or you just leaving so honestly even if you are someone in charge of the leaver you are being negligent in backing up the things you say that are going to be implemented...But If you can show me in writing where it says "its not" supposed to detect connection issues ill happily take down this post...And another thing..i have played 20+ games in a matter of two days without leaving and i have recieved no "status message"[slayer-jinx-unamused]

Nothing explicitly says it isn't supposed to detect it, but if you read the leaverbuster FAQ they mention that disconnecting can lead to leaverbuster punishments. And more practically I have never seen anything to suggest that DCs and intentional leaving are treated differently. So if they have come up with some way to detect the difference it isn't being used for anything.
20 games without leaving is not really a lot to play without leaving. Start thinking more like 100.

berserkerhammy1 votesIm currently in a sour financial situation so buying ethernet cord is not a reality considering id have to buy an atheros wireless signal booster annnnd an ethernet cord as i am in a shared living situation and its on the other side of the duplex..and a cord that is that long...would be a looot more that 10.00$

Samus721 votesThis is one of the reasons I do not like Wifi. It is unreliable. Unlike the wireless communicating we see in Star Trek, modern day wireless electronics have a looooooong way to go. The wind changes direction and wifi fails. Sit on the left side of the couch instead of the center of the couch, wifi fails. Someone says "Hello" in a room, wifi fails.
Did you know that in Trek, your communicator, PADD (those rectangular ipad's everyone uses,) and even your phaser are charge wirelessly while you're onboard a ship? THAT is the power of true wifi, baby. What we have now is wishful thinking compared to that.
