Wrongfully Banned For MMR Boosting Just Like Imaqtpie

So today I logged onto League to play some ranked games hoping to get to gold promos today (I am Silver 1). To my surprise I was greeted with a message saying that my account, IGN: The Dark Opossum, was banned. I have never been banned before so naturally I was confused. When I checked my email I found that my account was banned for MMR boosting. Now as someone who has been stuck in high Silver all season and as someone who has never shared my account details, I am very confused. A little bit ago I saw a post about Imaqtpie getting banned for the same reason, but of course one tweet from him to a Riot employee got it straightened out. I am trying to find out the reason as to why I was banned and I hope to get things straightened out before the end of season because I want to make it to gold. I have submitted a support ticket with all of my evidence including my plays.tv account with videos of me playing and talking while playing.

There are a few reasons I feel that I may have been banned and if any of these are true, then the system may be flawed greatly.

  1. I game from my laptop, and attend multiple LAN events with the University of South Carolina along the east coast and all over our campus. It would make sense for an automated system to mistake IP changes from traveling as someone logging in from other locations.

  2. I recently completely changed my playstyle from being a mid only player in ranked to a jungler and I have been performing better and climbing, not steadily albeit, but climbing nonetheless.

I feel very wronged by this whole case and I still haven't received a response back from Riot Support via my support ticket or tweets. Like I mentioned before, Imaqtpie was wrongfully accused the other day so we know that this is an issue.

This is my last hope to get the message out there please help me out, I have nothing to hide, and I have never allowed anyone to boost my account, nor have I ever boosted someone's account.

Better to just wait out the support ticket, than to bring it to forums. Either you're going to get a public outing by a Rioter proving it, or you're going to be told to wait on the support ticket. I know it feels like you'll get a faster response if you take it to forums, but odds are, you don't really.

Also, pretty sure support is kind of overburdened right now, so give it some time.

Honestly doesn't look like you boosted unless it was something awhile ago, atleast from my perspective.

There seem to be quite a few of these threads popping up this week. Perhaps there is something going on with the automated system that is causing it to be a bit over-eager with seeking out potential boosting. Try to be patient with support, and don't try to bump or duplicate your request as that can get you dropped to the end of the line. Hopefully they can get you cleared up, and good luck with the road to gold!
