I think their should be an honorable opponent in some way. Like, in some games I just play against a great enemy that makes me laugh or something, and then I plan on honoring, only to remember I can't. Wouldn't it he nice to have something that rewards sportsmanship between teams?
idk why they removed it in the first place..they removed that and made us fight over honors...it seems like a really bad system
I wish they bring back this "honorable opponent" thing. The new honor system is pretty f***ed up ! It was meant to encourage positive attitude and the teamplay but actually people just honor the guys that carried them.
I totally agree. Sometimes an opponent and I will banter while my team is busy flaming. In this situation, the honor score incentive (for everyone honoring a teammate) encourages me to honor 1 out of 4 flamers rather than the opponent who made my day.
In a recent game, I played as Sivir and my ADC counterpart was Arctic Warfare Caitlyn. I cleared a minion wave and stepped back under my turret: "/all Hey Cait, I like your coat, it looks cozy." She replied: "I do too, but it's not very good in the current weather" Twenty minutes passed and my team and I were making a final stand at our Nexus. With low health and no Spell Shield, I flashed away but Cait sniped me before I could get into the fountain. With my dying breaths, I muttered: "/all I still like your coat".
What a wonderful way to enjoy a defeat. I truly wanted to consummate this game by honoring this fern-jacketed marksman. Hopefully there'll be such chances someday.
