Toxicity, Why?

So, I just got done with a draft 5's game. There was this Bard player, he was a really positive dude. He gave a lot of pre-game encouragement in the hero select so internally I was very appreciative of that. He gave some early kills to the enemy team and suddenly our Quinn player just blew up on him. I didn't say anything because I normally don't. I try to just ping and stay out of the text chat box. I only voice chat with my friends. We ended up surrendering. I gave the bard the tilt-proof honor for that game while the other 3 didn't bother giving anyone honors. Honestly that player had the most composure and acted like a bigger person.

Earlier a few games ago a group of player wanted me and my friend to join their discord chat. I didn't say anything to them, but immediately I knew in my mind that it was a NO. I knew they were just going to start flaming us the moment we did something wrong. As I predicted, the Sivir player was running from someone through my lane (mid). She was in way too deep and there was nothing I could have done. Suddenly I get a flurry of Player Missing pings. The Sivir then just raged in chat while the Janna player (one of his friends) calls me boosted.

Look I don't claim to be the best League player in the world. I know I suck. I miss skillshots, freeze-up, and make bad decisions, but look, KEEP THE COMMENTS TO YOURSELF. I don't care if a player goes 0-20. If it looks like the player is at least trying, just be quiet. The League community, no the Gaming Community doesn't need your toxic comments in the chat or over voice chat. If you wanna rage, or complain like a child about how someone is feeding or how your team sucks, then LEAVE IT OUT OF THE CHAT BOX. Do it in your own space and not over the net.

Honestly this game should just get rid of the chat box all together. If people wanna act up and harass players for just trying to have a good time then we don't need a medium to push the toxicity through. Pings and notifications in chat should be enough. I would much rather have a teammate that is positive and friendly that isn't very good rather than some stuck up rager that is amazing at the game.

I just have one question. Why be toxic? Do you think that by you flaming them, they are somehow gonna get better in that moment? The only thing you might do is throw them off and make them perform worse. Congrats.

Look I get it, we all rage sometimes, but you should never feel the need to put down other players or harass them through voice chat or text chat.

There needs to be some sort of system where upstanding people in the community can be moderators. They can watch submitted games and see chat and if someone if being toxic, the toxic player gets punished for their behavior either directly or by submitting a ticket that is reviewed and if the accused player is guilty then some action is taken within 24 hours. Like a cooldown and in more serious repeated cases, a ban.

I can't believe that I have to suggest something like that because people wanna rage and be bad teammates.

TL;DR Stop raging in chat. Take it somewhere else. Be friendly or don't say anything.

I thought the honor system could be helpful with a few more additions. Like ranked for example; more people just troll around ranked to get a kick out of it. There should be some sort of pre-requisite or qualifications in order to do certain game modes. This way people can take their toxicity elsewhere.
