Reporting a lot making your reports lose weight

This is very concerning to me since I am a person who reports a lot, never without a solid reason. I'm not saying that every person I report deserves a freaking permaban or anything but they deserve that little black dot in their League history to bump up the reports they receive after mine.

I don't actually think that RIOT comprehends the amount of straight up toxic, narcissistic people that I encounter EVERY SINGLE DAY. There hasn't been a chill day in League for me in months, where I had no people talking shit constantly in games. I am well aware that there is a mute button, and I use it frequently, never trying to even communicate in any way with the toxic person, but sometimes one sentence is enough to tilt another person in your team into fighting in chat and ruining the whole game.

The sheer amount of tilting, trolling and toxic people has at least tripled over the course of the last year and that is an unwanted trend in the already really competitive game.

I just want to know that the person in one of my recent games, that started raging in champ select over nothing, repeatedly wished for our families to die of cancer, described in great detail how he's going to murder us and rape our mothers etc will not be let loose over the fact that I report people and thus remove my report strength over time. (Which is I guess normal since the new report/ban system doesn't really do a great job of recognizing bad behavior.)

I guess this was more of a rant than anything but I appreciate anyone who reads it and doesn't talk shit in the comments.

Thank you, rare random friendly summoners for making my experience in League a bit more bearable. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Where did you even get this information?

This is completely wrong.

We got the ifs code about reviewing games, it's pretty much, if reports > 0, then review.

It doesn't matter how much you report.

Report weight does not exist anymore, and hasn't since the implementation of the IFS a few years ago. Right now, every report made triggers a review of the reported account for that game, though not every review will result in a punishment.

Ah... see that is the actual problem with the community - it is overly report happy and who cannot go a game without constantly doing it and you're one of the reasons for the somewhat toxic environment you're complaining about. I honestly do not report every game. I did a while ago, but then I realised my reports were for players who might have had a bad game but kept trying and I made an excuse to assume it was something I deemed as 'griefing'.

I've seen daily, hourly, and nearly every match the report happy atmosphere that is in the majority of the community ranked in Bronze - Silver. If you don't meet someones particular aspirations for the game, they go after you calling you toxic names "troll" "noob" whatever the case it, it is actually yourself that is the problem. If you're constantly finding a reason to report, because you can, then you may need to reconsider your actual place in the game.

If you're become "constantly tilted" you might want to really take a moment and really analyze yourself before judging others. This is a game, played for entertainment purposes, and ranked play is competitive but has no place for you to constantly put players down if you aren't having fun. It's like being the only guy at a party with a ~~shitty ~~ poor attitude making everyone else negative because you're dissatisfied with others. Take some time away, play some bots, smurf, do something to make yourself feel better about yourself and then come back to the rift and enjoy the game.

Everyone thinks they have a reason. Their feelings and reality often don't match.

not how reports work

given the number of daily posts on these boards coming from flamers claming to be innocent, i think riot has a pretty good ideeea what the score is
