Your son should write into player support through a Support Ticket if he believes this punishment was in error (though they are quite accurate with their process to verify these bans).

In the meantime, consider these possibilities;

  • You aren't as aware of his activities as you believe and he's not being honest.
  • The account was compromised due to poor login information security, and someone else used cheats on it
  • He logged in somewhere other than your home computer where you can't control what happens
  • He allowed someone else to use his account and they cheated

These are just some common reasons to explain this kind of situation. Regardless, wait on that support ticket to be answered within a few days to hopefully get some more information (keep in mind that Support cannot divulge information that can compromise their investigation process, including what cheat they found).

Also, "scripts" are any program which takes action for the player automatically. These are illegal in this and basically all online multiplayer games, and are typically used to gain an unfair advantage over other players.

I don't like to think the opposite, but i'd imagine a mother would have proper spelling and grammar at the very least. Also think it's funny the first thing she does is go the boards.

what the actual fuck.so lets say i believe you are a mother of someone who used hacks and not someone who thinks he will get unbanned this way.you see your kid cry as you say "that much over a game" and your action is to come ask for explanation instead of trying to do something about your obviously addicted son?cudos "mother"

There are current bans going around regarding a very bad glitch exploit on the champion Xerath. The main exploit of this is by using scripting programs.

While these programs are the main source of making this cheat happen, they are not the only way to make this glitch happen. This glitch is apparently achievable without the scripting programs, but the players exploiting the glitch would be banned either way, as they are cheating in the game. It is possible your son was exploiting this glitch without the scripting programs, which would have caused his account to be banned.

(They deleted my original post... so I'm going to take a different approach)

I'm so terribly sorry this has happened to you and your "son". What a tragedy! Obviously a horrific mistake has been made.

'You are not allowed to lambast cheaters on the Boards' is what i was told by my warning message. So I promise from here on out I will not do that any longer. In fact, let me just publicly say, yay cheaters!

A lot of players seem to be experiencing the same issue, and you'll need to send in a support ticket and talk to the Riot staff: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/requests/new

They do bans for using third party software in waves, and sometimes mistakes are made. Politely explain your situation and be patient, it will take up to a day for you to get your first reply. Continue to explain your situation and mention that there have been many players speaking up on the forum about being banned by mistake during this wave and ask for a manual review of your account. If Riot conducts the review and finds that you indeed did nothing wrong then your account will have the ban removed.

The key here is patience as you go through the motions. Good luck! [slayer-jinx-catface]

Send tickets to Riot. If they've made a genuine mistake, hopefully they'll realise it after reevaluation. If people have been wrongfully accused, and they persistently let Riot know about it, then eventually the message will get through.
