I was just reported for picking Sona in URF

So today I get home late excited to play a few games of URF but as soon as I hit my third game I face harassment. Throughout the entire game , the enemy Lulu and Teemo harassed me for playing Sona. Before I had even got into lane, they were already asking their team to report me and raging about how try hard I was. I understand that Sona's strong in URF and that's part of the reason why I chose her, but I mainly chose her because I like playing Sona in general. I have a limited champion pool and apparently most of them are super "OP". I don't see why I should have to learn entirely new champions to play a game mode I used to love.

You don't have to play anything you don't want to. If they're going to throw a fit then mute them, if they are being abusive report them.

Don't fret, their reports won't check out. Can't report someone for doing something the game allows you to do.

While they haven't said anything about it. I would assume reports like that are meaningless. This is one reason why I dislike URF because people's only mindset is winning usually by using cheap champions, and most of the time people dislike it when other play champions who might be considered OP. So they end up reporting them. Heck it happens by picking "troll" champions as well. I remember when URF first came out and really wanting to try Sejuani and Quinn, both of whom at the time were "troll" picks, and was getting harassed none stop even getting told to report me. Nothing bad ever happen. But do as Nami said and just mute these people and if it escalated worse by all means report. People assume that because it's a joke mode toxic behavior is acceptable and it never is. Mute and report so hopefully they don't ruin other peoples fun!

Sona has a win rate of 70% (which doesn't sound like much but is actually astronomically high), and takes almost no skill to play in URF. Essentially you are queuing up to mash qweqweqwe for 20 minutes and quote simply higher numbers than the other team can manage, and then earning a "pat on the back" with a victory screen.

Sona is fun on this mode but when you see her played almost every game she kind of shuns out anyone wanting to play champions that have interesting mechanics in URF, so others get annoyed and rage at you. Want to try out that quirky Vi build? Nope they picked Sona you can't trade. Want to try out that shield based Diana build? Nope they picked Sona you can't trade. Want to try out that Udyr build? Nope they picked Sona you can't trade...

Keep 'playing' her and enjoy, but please don't spam :P summoner 14 summoner 14 Sona summoner 14 summoner 14
