I Am Leaving League For A Bit (And The Assassin Meta)

Today I played a game of ranked in League of Legends and I was Annie Midlane. I Then proceed at lvl 3 to be one shot by leblanc even though I buy a Magic Resist Item to begin with. Then my team proceeds to tell me it is my fault for feeding later in the game after they hand leblanc 3 more kills. Leblanc ended that game with 19 kills, 6 deaths, and 13 assists and throughout this slaughter my team blamed me for all the mistakes even when they made some as well.

The reason I'm leaving League is that I was on the other end of conversation cursing out my teammates and being a jerk. I didn't really have this problem before the preseason. I'm a pretty average player (silver 3 in ranked if anyone is wondering) and the bickering as teammates is pretty standard in my elo, but as a mainly support player I have learned to deal with it. This season however is something different, the assassin meta that was recently rolled out has made everyone seem more aggressive and greedy. This is mostly due to how assassins are played and the consequences leave the rest of the team not really wanting to work with that team member and my main problem is that I have seen how other people treat each other in this game when they are out for themselves and I don't want to be that, so for the moment I'm stepping back and letting league grow out of this phase before I come back.

This is a personal problem for me probably but I don't want someone looking at me and seeing a toxic player so if anyone has anything to add please leave it in the comments I'm really curious as to what you think.

I think it might be good for you to leave league for a bit if you are having trouble keeping yourself in line, but... I would not say that you can blame the game for your own behavior. You should leave the game for a bit because you yourself are getting out of line and you don't want to see yourself go down the road of toxicity. It has nothing to do with the game changing and you being toxic because of that. That's all I have to say, just put the blame on yourself, not the game.

"assassin meta"

Every single assassin except Kha'Zix and Rengar are fucking trash or literally unable to assassinate anymore.

Okay.

I'm not a fan of this meta either. It's all early game snowballing, assassins and mages that do ridiculous damage.

I am not sure why people keep saying it is the Assassin Meta, I only ever see like 3 different Assassins, LeBlanc, Vayne and Twitch are like the only ones I see.

If anything this is the Bruiser/Fighters Meta since they are abusing CotC. CotC is 100x better on someone like Riven than its intended group of champions.

Everyone has games where their teammates tilt them. It doesn't happen that often, but it'll happen. I'd say chalk it up to random chance rather than being based on a certain meta.

its not the meta its your elo. You have yet to understand how to deal with a LB. Get some wards play passively until 6

Its not assassin meta

Kei14312/5/2016, 5:53:07 PM1 votes

LB really can't 1 shot at level 3 unless you were half hp.

molten shield when she comes in to proc her passive and you would have reduced a tonne of dmg.

Also, HP > MR for annie against assassins. Also, cos of molten shield.

I call it the instagib meta since more than assassins are capable of it. It really isn't fun. Basically, whoever can get their 100-0 champ ahead first wins the match. Whether it's Vayne coming in and tumble-f*@^&ing your team, or Syndra throwing balls of death from across the screen. You can't really counter-play instant death. You can only try to run aw...tumble thwack YOU HAVE BEEN SLAIN...nevermind.
