Can someone please help clear things up?? I'm a bronze player and fluctuate in ranking from Bronze 5 to Bronze 2 and I have now been banned for MMR boosting. I absolutely don't understand how MMR works or how this could be possible... Could I have mistakenly been banned?

its only out of 8 games, so that doesn't count for much.

Obviously it's not truly "boosting" since he didn't make it out of Bronze, but it could easily be account sharing. I wouldn't mention it in a vacuum, but since Riot's already banned him, they may have more evidence concerning those games.

riots evidence most of the time is biased, they probably haven't found anything, people are getting mass banned , the boards are going more insane than reddit today

Sorry to break it to you but there is no way he was getting boosted. At least in the past 60 games. Look at the scores and the cs. Do you think a booster would cs like that or lose games where they go 15+ kills on kat? KAT?!?!
Absolutely not.
The only thing I can think of is he let someone else play on his account or riot legit screwed up. This definitely isn't boosting though. Maybe account sharing, but not boosting.

CTN1511 votesI have played kalista a ton and that is the adc i play most and best. Katarina I main. I have been trying to get good at zed and other champs but im bad at them... that's reasonable. it's only 8 games with kalista.
Qtpie Andraya1 votesI also just got banned for MMR Boosting, and I've only been playing Normal Games since the end of the season. Sure, I've been playing with higher ranked friends in normal's, so my win rate recently was a bit higher then when I played ranked, but that's no reason to get banned for "boosting" for playing with friends.
