Is this really worth a ban?!

Back story: I log in today, after 14 day suspension (a story for another time), play my first game: all goes well, carry as ww jungle, am friendly in chat. I get 2 honors from my team-mates and then comes game 2: AS a Kha' jungler i gank the hell out of midlane proceeding to feed our Fizz who just explodes everyone, and then i decide to help botlane (ADC was flaming me and pinging me the whole time, leading to me muting him) that worked, as well as stealing 99% of the objectives (drake/baron/scuttle) - this leads to an extremely salty enemy Jax jungler who starts flaming me constantly and just harrases me throughout the game with verbal abuse. This leads to a loss for Jax's team through my out-jungling of his poor performance, and makes Jax very "upset" leading to him banning me. This SINGLE report from an enemy Jax leads to my account being banned after 2 games.

Now i ask Rito and the community, after reading the chat and knowing this, is my account ban worthy? Coming back from a 14day suspension, carrying my games, having honors, getting verbally abused by team-mates and enemy junglers and then MY account is banned?

TLDR: salty enemy jax harrases me and reports me leading to a ban.

Game 1 NNHS Rafiki: xd gj NNHS Rafiki: relax bru (ADC Jhin starts pinging to help after dying constantly while pushing excessively botlane) NNHS Rafiki: dont push too hard bot (this is when jax started being toxic and asked "why did you chase me" when i counter jungled him and killed him) NNHS Rafiki: easy kill NNHS Rafiki: oh so salty xD (Trundle pings me in botlane for not assisting when i had no mana and CD) NNHS Rafiki: yeah what do u want i had cd (ADC pings me again while im in jungle and he got caughty botlane by enemy jax, zed and ezreal) NNHS Rafiki: dont overstay man NNHS Rafiki: come on NNHS Rafiki: mate NNHS Rafiki: if you could not push all the time (ADC starts drake with me being in base, the whole enemy team goes to drake, i move towards drake and manage to steal vs 4 enemy players) NNHS Rafiki: you guys are lucky im good NNHS Rafiki: because this adc is not (again ADC keeps pinging) NNHS Rafiki: stop pinging the whole time NNHS Rafiki: and focus NNHS Rafiki: jesus. Hey SprixOk, thanks for your answer man!

As i mentioned in a previous comment, the situation was also to be put into thought. The thing is, i come back from a 2 week suspension, in which i was already confused as to why i was the one getting suspended when i was constantly being flamed and trolled. Tried my best playing league (once again i emphasize on my S+/A scores to show that i had no intentions of trolling or being toxic), i feed my midlaner and help out the other lanes as much as possible, and then get flamed by my adc. And because of me outjungling a Jax, i then get harassed by him throughout the game. Even so, with the words i have said, none of them are verbally abusive, neither are they as Riot puts it "extremely inflammatory and deragotary", it seems we both agree on that no?

It terms of their context vs toxicity - i think in cases such as mine where we come back from a suspension, a simple unique report from an opponent is enough to perma-ban, which is what i find outrageous.

If i were blatantly swearing/inting/trolling, i would completely understand the permaban, but me trying to come into the game again with a cool head and try my best, and then being subjected to this... It just doesn't make sense when you then look at the rest of players/community with overflowing toxicity such as this Jax, who probably got away with a warning.

yeah i can agree that you weren't saying inflammatory and derogatory related but they tell you after your ban that if you're toxic at all you will be permabanned and even though you didnt say anything majorly rude you still said something and the thing is if you create a ticket to riot support (best option for you rn) they'll probably say something like: you still said something, you couldve just muted them instead of responding, and we warned you after the 2 week ban. but riot only looks for toxicity and toxicity only context WILL NOT matter to them unless you go make a ticket and explain it to them so if you want to try and make a ticket since thats really the best option

OK, I'll be as objective as possible. This chat log alone, with no prior offenses, should not get you punished. Not even chat restricted. It's not nice when you say stuff like:

But it's nowhere near common league toxicity.

BUT... and here's the big BUT! You had a 2 week ban. Which means the ice you're standing on is so thin, you accidentally fart and you break through. It's like Sauron's eye is watching you 24/7 now. What that means is, you're not supposed to be just 'below average league toxicity'. No, it means you should be on your best behavior. And let's be honest: This chat log does certainly not show you from your best behavior, agreed?

Sorry to say, but the ban seems justified. :/

See that's what i find silly in a sense though, you consider the chat log to be not even minor punishment worthy. I understand that i am on thin ice, but this is my first account, and the first to get banned. As mentioned before, i got two honors in the previous game, and that chat log was not offensive. Out of the 2 games i won both. I got honors, and i got quite good scores.

Do you deem it justified when a salty opponent reports you out of hatred and leads to your ban for the simple fact that i played better in this scenario?

Well, no, you don't get banned simply for getting reported. You can be right off a 2 week ban and get reported 9x per game for 10 consecutive games and not get permabanned. In fact, I'm 100% certain if you hadn't said stuff like

then you wouldn't have gotten permabanned. I see it as : the 2 week ban is not even just your last chance. The 2 week ban is the point where you not only stop being toxic, but being proactively nice instead. Like, prove that you're a player the community wants to play with and against. That has nothing to do with skill. There are people that are godawful but I still enjoy playing with them. So you didn't get banned because you played better, you got banned because you berated them and talked down onto them. Which is not something Riot wants to see from someone who they banned for 2 weeks, slapped them on the finger, and told them: Show us your best behavior from now on, or we'll remove you from the game.

I didn't pick a vote because this is a mayube for me. Although the stuff you did say could be considered toxic, I think this was a stupid ban, especially afyer 2 games. I would literally just /mute all and not talk to anyone and let them drown in silence and lose their mind. It's kinda fun tbh

But no, I dont think you should have been banned, but I can see where you did get banned.

First off, thank you for reading and answering.

I agree with you, and i hope Riot can see, that after 2 games, where i was HONORED, and CARRIED the game with S/A+ scores, that i get my account banned because of a salty opponent who refused that there could be better players than him.

I think Riot needs to look a bit more in-depth when it comes to situations like these. It's just unfair on people who want to enjoy the game, get better and have a better league community.

It seems like this was likely towards the enemy but I believe you completely crossed the line on what was acceptable trash talk. You mentioned that you were recently off a 14-day ban. You probably should have refrained from all bad behavior, not just against your allies.

Let me explain the context/situation here. This was when i stole another drake vs the jax. At this point we were mid-game and he had been constantly harassing me, and when i stole the drake he kept saying i was "ks", "fkn noob".

I can see how you can think of it as being aggressive but really it was just me telling him to back off from me, in a non-explicit or derogatory term, and to go learn better the smite mechanics (vital when you're playing the jungler role).

In terms of "stay hard stuck" yes that was maybe a little too much in terms of blowing steam. Then when i was apologizing to the enemy team for their toxic player who seemed hell bent on insulting me rather than focusing on the game, that was mere compassion to the team especially with a enemy morgana that said " i also told him to learn how to smite". The "ok boi" was after he kept insulting me saying i was trash, bronze noob etc...

Even though i can understand how you can see it as heated, are such words "found to be extremely inflammatory and offensive"? Especially after my two games back being honored and having S/A+ scores? Would you ban an account on the context that he is being constantly harassed in-game and banned because of a SINGLE report made by an aggressive opponent?

I don’t think he crossed the line, if people are actually getting butthurt over this they need to reconsider their choice of playing a competitive game on the internet. Society is becoming WAAAAAAAY to soft.

Getting offended is not the same thing as being sensitive. Sometimes hypersensitivity coincides with being offended but they are often two different things and hypersensitivity exists as a word for a reason. There's a big difference. And I don't think people being belittled and getting upset should ever be considered "hypersensitive." Which is almost always what it comes down to, people feel like trash because they get treated like crap. It's not okay.

The main point is people shouldn't have to change who they are to fit the needs of others when they are passively being themselves, while the "aggressors" aka toxic people are the one making the motion to change those to suit their purposes because they lack the self-control to follow the rules put down by Riot and the community they are apart of. Toxic persons yell about how if people were less sensitive then the things considered toxic now wouldn't be considered toxic, however it has little to do with sensitivity and everything to do with the individual's perspective on what makes them feel a certain way. If the community is calling for toxic people who say mean/rude/inflammatory things to be restricted/banned to the degree we see here- that's an issue that pretty much explains the situation.

People don't like to be looked down upon and it shouldn't be tolerated. No one is offended by everything, it's very rare that someone is going to take offense to every single circumstance. The problem is people have the control not to say ANYTHING that could be misconstrued yet do so anyways. You'll never get banned for saying "GG WP friends" etc, I don't think a single person will take that negatively and if they do that's not the majority as is the case with every other ban out there where if you noticed- almost every single one is deserved with a very rare outlier. They say things to vent and etc and then they put themselves in the pot and ask "Why did I get banned when I only jumped into the pot after lighting the fire, I don't understand!"

Nah, pretty sure you just don't have anything logical to say or you'd say it. There's no reason not to prove your point if you could, it's pretty clear you can't so you're ducking out of the conversation. Not sure how any of your insults against my person hold any relevance to the point I'm making.
