No room for learning, but room for bullying
I've been playing LoL for a while now, I'll gladly agree that I still don't know much about the game but I'm really trying. However, learning means that people are gonna make mistakes and it seems that a lot of players can't understand that... Instead of helping new players, they insult them, refuse to help them, and even encourage the other team to report this same new player. I've recently earned the right to play ranked. I was very excited to earn this right and to move up in the game so I went for it and played my first game, warning the other players that it was my first time and to not be too harsh on me. What did I get in return? A whole lot of insults and threats of report... This scared me away from ranked and the same thing seems to happen a lot with simple games, not necessarily with me but with other teammates. This leads me to say that ever since I started playing, I've loved the game but the attitude of other players is starting to make me doubt this love of LoL. It seems that reporting unsportsmanlike conduct barely does anything. I understand that Riot must be getting thousands of reports everyday and that they can't necessarily pay attention to all of them, but while reports are being lost in this sea of accusations, whether they be justified or not, players still get to insult or discourage teammates. I strongly believe something must be done to take control of the situation and discourage bullying because it has gotten to a point where the game has a reputation of having terribly mean players compared to other similar games.
Anyways, just thought I would post my thoughts and discourage on this situation after I just came out of a really self demeaning game, which made me decide to stop playing for the night and maybe time being.
