Honest Question Regarding Chat Restriction

I just played a game where I didn't curse at anyone or insult anyone and I received a 10-game chat restriction.
I was ADC, and in champ select, my support hovered Ashe. I main Ashe, but also like playing other ADCs, so I didn't hover and asked if he was really planning on going Ashe support. I understand and have seen (and played with) Ashe supports, but the vibe I got here was not of a genuine support player. It had something to do with the curt response and no communication as to picking the right ADC/support combo.
When the game started, I told my team I thought we're gonna get rekt. The enemy Twitch / Sona combo against me (Sivir) and Ashe support would be tough. Maybe we could change lanes, or come up with a strategy. Ashe went on the offensive, said (in a mocking way) I'm just Ashe support and we'll win (or something like that - in an innocent way).
Then he started to take my cs. At first, he kept denying it, but then you look at the scores and I have 23 and he has 26. We are splitting lane farm and I am letting my team and the enemy team know to report this player. Our Zed (same name but modified as the Ashe) would engage a team fight with me, then run away to let me die. They would use the emotes and laughing taunts at me in-game. I found out later in-game that the 4 of them are queued together. They started verbally bashing me, then lying to the enemy team saying I was the toxic troll and instructing them to report me.
At the end of the game, I reported the 4 players on my team. I also asked the enemy team to help me report to ensure that League continues to be playable. Sure enough, I received a 10-game chat restriction.

The part about Twitch being a noob was for my other teammates (before I found out they were friends with the Ashe support), letting them know to burst on the Twitch when he was alone in lane and not to be afraid - the Twitch had 40 cs at one point, and Ashe had 43 while I had 41 (meaning even though we were in-fighting and competing for cs, the Twitch wasn't even close).
The stuff they were saying... and doing... I feel like I got punished for defending myself.
So, what do you do when a group of troll friends does something like this? Not say anything? Just wait out the game and let it suck for a while?
I'd also like to add that the 10-game chat restriction came IMMEDIATELY after the end of the previous game - which means no one reviewed anything and this must've been an automated penalty?
Anyway, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Years ago, I had another account and would joke, taunt, curst, etc. After getting reported for toxicity and vulgar language, I haven't been penalized in nearly two seasons. I make it a point to maintain a strictly positive attitude unless someone initiates abuse or toxicity, and then I point it out.
From my admittedly limited experience and knowledge in this subject and from my perspective, it appears as though Riot's automated system is flawed - and the only way for me to avoid this con job would be to not even point anything out in the future, or make sure to avoid using keywords like noob, liar, troll, rekt? Because those are the only flags I can see, even though they weren't toxic in that context, imo, or they were used categorically and defensively.
I'm also upset, because I prided myself on never being issued a penalty and gaining honor rewards (I'm level 4 honor and almost level 5 I think by now).
Thank you for the help. This last game was my level 30 game, so coincidentally I just became eligible for a 10-game ranked promo - and I guess I'm kind of looking forward to it being quiet.
