should I be banned?

I feel this is a very unfair ban. There was only 1 game which is this one.

I started out friendly messing with nasus, no one was toxic or took offense to any comments. The bot lane being over was in regards to our t1 tower being down and the enemy kayn asking why our support was top when we killed him. I asked by nasus was building a tear and sarcastically replied to the toxic ahri about the AP. Then I tried giving ahri a compliment on landing her e's. Thats when I said that rag comment. Nasus then began to attack me and I tried defending myself against what they were saying I said. I proceeded to mute all and tried explaining to the enemy team what was happening to me. Nasus was following me all game stealing farm etc. Anyways I read that soliciting reports wasn't against any rules confirmed by a rioter. Anyway. Thoughts? This was a 4 man queued team also.

Did you have a previous 14-day ban? Because if so the following could push you over.

The inted comment was me explaining to nasus when he i was telling him a better way to go about what happened, he said he came to help me and i didn't need his help, he even agreed by giving a "^" when i said that inted comment. and yes i had a 14 day about a month and a half ago.

That line aside, the rest is still problematic.

And a month and a half is not sufficient to work off a 14-day ban. It typically takes 3-4 months of good behavior to drop down from that level, and this behavior, while not awful, could definitely push you over the edge again. At the 14-day ban stage improvement is not enough -- you have to be on your best behavior, and there isn't a lot of margin for error at that point.

All you can do now is send in a ticket to Riot Player Support and maybe (politely) try to persuade them to give you another chance. It's VERY uncommon, so don't get your hopes up, but this isn't the WORST log I've seen so if they're feeling especially generous and your other behavior has been A+ it might be worth a shot. Past that we can't help you -- this punishment isn't really unwarranted given a recent 14-day ban, so the boards won't do much good.

Ah! My misunderstanding. By "this" do you mean the Nasus case specifically, or the situation in general?

In general, the best course of action is always to mute/ignore, play the game as best you can (or set personal goals if the game is a surefire loss, so you can find some fun and/or way to improve in it), and just report them at the end. 1 report has as much value as 9 in the system, so there's no reason to make the environment worse by telling player they're toxic, or children, etc.

Like in game? I would have never told them the "smart thing to do". I wouldn't have explained the reasoning behind why I said things (wouldn't have said them in the first place), and I wouldn't have lobbied for reports in all chat and called people toxic and shit. I wouldn't have pointed out awful builds on allies, or the fact that bot lane lost. These are all things you should avoid doing because it doesn't actually help anyone, and it can very easily turn into an argument, which I'm bad at arguing while trying to keep track of enemy jungler, enemy laner timers, CSing, poking, checking ally positions, etc... also, it can lead to a punishment. You're ALWAYS better off protecting your account. Account > ego in a video game. If you want specific answers, like when he said x, what am I supposed to say in response? Feel free to ask.

What kind of ban did you get? You were arguing in your chat log, which is pretty darn detrimental to team morale. It's negative behavior, and you should have just used the mute button when things started to go downhill. Let the argument end and let everyone get back to playing.

If this is regular behavior you definitely earned a punishment, and League uses punishment tiers to decide what punishment you earned. There is the 10 day chat ban, the 25 day chat ban, the 14 day ban, and the permaban, and every time you earn a punishment you go up a tier. If you do something truly awful you can jump to a 14 day or permaban, but normally it just starts at the 10 day chat ban.

If you've had the earlier bans and you made it up to the point where you get full on bans you need to change your behavior. Use that mute button and just play the game.

More defending myself against the 4 man queued group that was all attacking me. I had a 2 week about a month and a half ago and have had no other behavior issues since, until this. I also did mute them after they all started attacking me.

only said 14 things before muting trying to explain to the, at the time I had no idea was, 4 man group who was obviously out to troll someone, and they got me.

"go change the rag" is incredibly sexist and while it doesn't necessarily trigger the automated system like the world c**t might, it's still majorly offensive and ignorant.

that said, this chat is pretty mild. but with a 14 day ban only a handful of weeks ago, the system wants you to be on your best behavior. it doesn't matter who started it, you were basically on probation and any negativity was going to trigger a review of your account again. without knowing your account history and what kind of chat logs were involved in previous punishments, i'd say it's worth a shot at sending in a support ticket. that's where you can get real answers from people who have the power to make decisions about your account.

Defending yourself implies an attempt to prevent harm to yourself or another. This would be the mute button, as it prevents their words from effecting you any further.

Retaliation is attacking someone else with the intent of harming them as they have harmed you. This is what is not allowed and can lead to a punishment like you recieved.

You said way more than you should have before muting them, and before muting you managed to lower yourself to their level. You should have actually defended yourself and muted at the first sign of flame coming from your team, rather than using it after the damage was already done.

Their actions may be inexcusable, but you are not being judged based on their actions. You broke the rules and earned your punishment, which you were warned in advance that it would be your last. It takes a few months of good behavior and active play to go down one punishment tier, and so you were still on track for the permaban when that game happened.

About the only thing you can do now is make a support ticket if you truly feel this game should not have led to a permaban. If you try it good luck, you'll need it, otherwise I wish you the best on your next account. Just try and proactively use that mute button next time.

Let me be your judge :D You talk (type) too much i think :| And there is also the asking for ban of teammates thing which i found plenty of on similar threads. But me personally would definitely not ban you. Period.[slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

I didn't ask for ban, just reports which isn't against the rules.. I guess i could have waited to ask after the game. All i wanted was for them to be reported, not banned lol

wether 1 player reports you or 9, riot only gets 1 notification. the others don't count for extra incentive or anything. they are not needed

if you had a 2 week ban before this game and this is a perma then this harassment you are displaying is plenty reason
