Champ select - What is the proper thing to do?

It's happened to me a few times, and it just happened to me 5 minutes ago.

I'm last pick, jungler is 4th pick. Apparently jungler had his champion banned (not sure, he never communicated), so he selects Soraka, most likely to force me to dodge. It seems I'm on a lose or lose situation, either:

  1. Dodge, to avoid what will most likely be an aggravating loss, and take the penalty. In doing so, probably also doing the rest of the team a favor, but giving the jerk what he wants.

  2. Carry on with the game, hoping he disconnects intentionally and we get to remake, or just taking the [most likely] aggravating loss.

What really bothers me is that either way I'm screwed. And AFAIK there's no way to report this kind of behaviour.

So I'm curious, what is the proper thing to do in this sort of situation?

(FYI I dodged, my team-mates thanked me, Soraka actually typed ":)" last second in chat, and I'm feeling crappy about it, and waiting for the penalty timer...)

If they are purposely trying to mess up a game, you can report them for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Personally, I'd play it out and report them, instead of letting them go off without a report.

Keep in mind that there is a fine line between off-meta and trolling.

trolls/off-meta picks are just like afks. there are 4 chances to get one on your team and 5 chances to get one on the other team. so in the long run they will help you climb more than they will hurt you.
