Block Lists

So, I know I'm not the best of players, I made dozens of mistakes and I don't have a problem trying to improve. But that isn't what this thread is about. I want to hear the communities thoughts. League of Legends is the first and only game that I have ever felt a need to actively use the ban/block list. I have taken into consideration player behavior before and after the new system, but while there are a good number of games where my teammates are all extremely positive, there are still an equal amount of games where there are highly toxic players. So the question I pose it, do you think it would be beneficial to improving the behavior of players by auto-blocking them after being reported? Have you found using the block system being beneficial in comparison to any of the player moderation systems implemented in Season 5?

Auto-blocking after a report? Unless you're high diamond the chances of running into the same person again is extremely unlikely. And no, I don't really use the block/mute feature, only used it once or twice.

The Block function only prevents a person from sending you requests, and auto mutes them to you in lobby or game chat (probably chat groups too, idk yet). If you were thinking it prevents them from grouping with you through matchmaking, it doesn't do that (as this could be abused, especially in very high elo).

It's extremely rare to see the same person twice (except when you both immediately requeue after the 1st game together), so blocking them when you report is almost meaningless. Only the absolute worst trolls will harass you with friend requests after a game that you had to report them, but it's actually good when they do because they dig their own grave by doing so (that kind of harassment can easily lead to a permaban).
