sometimes feeding is the only choice

got stuck in a game tonight where some kid ragequits at 6 mins. no more top laner. we continue to fight but there is just no way to do it. our jg has to cover top and with no jungle pressure they build a huge lead not to mention the extra player. we are reduced to huddling under turrets and waveclearing. im counting the seconds and when 20 minutes finally arrives i immediately hit the surrender. but the vote fails 2 to 2.

what choice to i have? if i start complaining to my teammates and tell them i want to quit this hopeless game and go to sleep, i can be banned for a toxic attitude. if i continue to fight, this game might steal another 20 minutes of my life. i need to get out. the only thing i can do is help convince my team its time to give up. feeding is the only choice.

incidentally my team still didnt surrender after i fed a few kills. but it did help the game to end sooner, so i did what i could. i dont feel bad at all.

You might feel bad when you get banned for intentional feeding. You don't get chat restrictions for that, you skip right to a 14 day or permanent ban. Regardless of how bad the match looks, one won teamfight or someone splitpushing properly or just evening the odds by stalling can turn it into a victory.

There. It must have escaped your mind, but that right there? That's a choice. You made the choice to feed instead of fighting because you felt it's justified. Feeding was not the only choice. It was merely your choice, made out of selfishness. I rarely write this: But I definitely hope you get smited by a red... or simply detected by Riot's feeder buster (which is specifically designed to distinguish intentional feeding from being "very brave", btw).

That's like your opinion dude. My opinion is that when that happens, try to remember that winning isn't the only way of enjoying a game.
