Can't criticize anyone.

At this point Riot has been harsher on inappropriate words in League. However it's moved to a point in where if you critique anyone's gameplay in game its a punishable offense. This goes beyond calling someone bad or improve this. Just simply telling a person they have made a mistake is punishable. I'm not sure on how Riot wants to fix this. Perhaps in the future Riot could implement a coaching feature. Where you add a friend and they can create highlights for mistakes and good decisions. IDK

Wrong.

Stating "That wasn't a good call", "You should have gotten this against that champion". Also stating "That item isn't useful anymore" or "That Rune isn't good anymore, don't use that because of -this- reason". I've always given a critique and criticize certain choice or something that didn't go well. Never once penalized. But blaming, insulting, and harassing them for their mistakes isn't criticizing. That's just simply toxic.

There's a fine difference between insulting and criticizing. Also if they don't want to listen to you or acknowledge your critique, then don't harass them about it.

Funny, I criticized a player recently and haven't been punished. I had a Brand Support who kept shoving lane while I was away, and asked them not to push, but to last-hit.

Maybe it's not the criticism that's the issue, but the way you deliver it?

Nope.

Saying "that was a mistake" when they make a mistake will not get you punished. The only way it gets punished is if you're constantly hounding them for mistakes with no constructive chat.

"that wasn't the best call" "you didn't play that very well" "open with E, not Q" "stop trading so much and farm" "don't push so far up if you know your getting camped so much, that's just bad"

all critiques, non punishable. the way you say a critique makes a world of difference.

Just post the whole damn logs instead of nitpicking the least toxic ones.

I want to ask you this:

Why do you need to criticize, knowing that it will have no positive effect on the current game, and will not help your team play better?

Criticism is not necessary, giving constructive feedback can help. If someone doesn't feel the need or desire to listen to constructive feedback, then write it off as "they won't listen, their loss".
