How much you want to bet this Irelia is "not gonna get banned"?

Rage quits 10 minutes in typing "gg afk" in a Platinum ranked game then has the nerve to keep moving every few minutes to avoid the leaver buster while pushing for a surrender vote. Irelia's defense is "idc I'm not gonna get banned". This is NOT acceptable, if no action is taken against her this community is going to go even furthur down the gutter with more people doing what Irelia did and making the community even more toxic.

The LeaverBuster system isn't affected by simply moving. Players must be taking meaningful action to further the game objectives if they want to not be caught by LeaverBuster.

Well she did NOTHING to help her teammates out and make those numbers on the second screen go up to benefit her teammates when she went AFK. And I have yet to receive a message that "she as been penalized".

LeaverBuster does not send notifications ever when it penalizes players who went AFK in a game you were in. This is regardless of if you report them or not.

The notifications you get are only sometimes sent, and only for chat/gameplay related offenses other than AFK.

It also never bans anyone either. The Irelia saying "idc I'm not gonna get banned" is correct.

Players are punished for AFKs, but they are not banned unless they show a very habitual pattern of AFKing.

Players who leave the game are punished with low priority queues, not bans.

Those bans being manual, which is why you have to be AFKing/leaving a very high percentage of games, and even then its no guarantee you are banned. Theoretically, you could AFK/leave quite literally every single game you play, and the maximum punishment is still just a 20 minute low priority que for 5 games.

Also, I'm pretty sure this Irelia has done this before. And she's use to not getting caught.

She will get a low priority queue (a forced wait time before she is able to queue up for a game) if she AFKs a few games within a short time frame.

Players are not punished for one left game or one instance of AFKing - as Riot does leave room for life/emergencies.

It is reportable, but the Leaverbuster works without any reports needed. Its likely the Irelia is getting caught- by the automated Leaverbuster system. But that system does not actually ban people no matter how often they AFK.

I feel like this fact is known by VERY little players and this is due to a lack of communication on Riot's part. Appreciate you clarifying though.

Walking around the map seems to be just about enough to avoid LeaverBuster. I got queued into the same game as the AFKer who did this that one time, and judging from that AFker's match history, he should be getting a low priority queue by now for doing this because he does it often

Riot won't take a hard line on infractions that are blatantly obvious such as this one because the more people they ban the less money they bring in.

That's entirely incorrect. They ban anyone who is reported enough by others. reports stack and riot throws out false statistics to make their bans seem meaningful even when your chat logs show complete positivity. They will ban you even if you go off meta. Look at support singed counter jungle who was threatened to permaban.

Here's the thing about that. High visibility people should be held to higher standards. Especially the professional players who not only represent themselves but also their sponsors, their team, and Riot games. They stream their games publicly. They put their actions and words out there to be heard. If Riot truly cared about handling crap in this game they would start with those most visible and in the spotlight.
