Riot of course would do this. I start out top lane getting smashed and this ekko instant flames me on his first gank so i explain why i didnt do what he wanted me to do which was i was dead anyway i threw my q before i died and he just called me retarded and useless. Get ganked again and they take my top so i freeze my lane at the second tower and god behold my team is trying to 5v4 mid and zed calls me a useless piece of shit who doesnt know anything about the game and i am retarded for trying to freeze and farm. So naturally i retaliate that. This whole retarded and piece of useless shit name calling continues the whole fucking game, and guess who got banned? ME. I got banned for not sitting there and taking there shit. Good job rito, always banning the right people.

The issue with that logic is that the system (except in particularly extreme cases) is not just one and done. It takes a pattern of negative behavior and a history of punishments to get a ban. Considering there was no hate speech or death threats or the like in your logs, I can assume with a good amount of confidence that you have had behavior warnings within the past couple months.

Everybody is judged the same way by the same system. You've had warnings, and other players are entitled to the same warning system. They just might not have had warnings before. It's impossible to tell how someone typically behaves based on only one game. Even if you report, there is no guarantee that that report will trigger a behavioral review. However, when a review is triggered, your report will be taken into consideration. And considering Riot's stance on hate speech, they'll likely get at least a 14 day suspension once that review happens.

Then they'll probably come here to whine about how they shouldn't be banned because blah blah blah use the mute blah blah blah sensitive snowflakes blah blah blah fuck you rito.

And chances are decent that I'll post as much in their thread too. ;)

Anyways, best of luck to you should you make a new account. For what it's worth, I appreciate that you're taking this better than most who post after their bans.

Everyone is judged based on their own actions. If they are reported, they are judged.

Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but eventually their behavior will get them judged. Riot is not going to share with you how close they are to judgement for privacy reasons. And since your judgement occurs separately, the other players actions should hold no bearing in your case.

How do you know they aren't getting or going to get punished?

Chat restrictions are not detectable on any match history or account listing Ive ever heard of. Harassment, and offensive language doesn't skip tiers unless it is extreme(by the system's standards, not yours). Hate speech typically does skip tiers, but Ive also heard of first time offenders not skipping tiers.

The bottom line here is that you don't know the punishment history of the other players account. As such you are not in the best position to determine the the severity of the other players punishment.

If the person you reported is in the "eventually" category, then you would not have received that notification.
