14 day ban for being "mean" to friend in chat

Agnesu·11/20/2017, 10:07:17 PM·0 votes·483 views

My friend got a call in Discord and he and I kept saying things in chat like "I can hear you Emily, shhh" and I'd just say kys. Someone (probably the tilted midlaner) was so frustrated with being 0/8 that they decided to report me even though it was obvious I was talking to someone I know. Now I know that telling someone to kill themselves is considered bad and all, but when someone who isn't being attacked decides to try to get someone else in trouble when they're talking with a friend is just spite, Also I told the enemy team to report Ori just like everyone else (might be she reported all of us). Point is my friend wasn't the one that reported me and therefore I shouldn't have been banned. Here's the log.

You're lucky, I got perma banned from the game for one time usage of none tolerable words, without any prior warning.

Sorry to say but nothing is obvious based on your logs and reporting people for breaking the law is considered acceptable

Just because you find the term to not be offensive, doesn't make it so You weren't in a premade so you subjected your team to you telling them to kill themselves and riot doesn't condone that.

You might get lucky by contacting support, but I doubt it. You triggered a 0 tolerance policy and Riot generally doesn't revert those under any circumstances.

It's a zero-tolerance word. Regardless of its intent, no one has the privilege of saying those words. And you already knew this. No one is invulnerable to the system. Use this 2 weeks ban as a reflection to never say those word again in the League Chat.

Players are also forbidden to ask for reports

Nothing in your log makes it clear that you're speaking to your friend, so using that as an excuse is ridiculous.

You might not be toxic, but you're indistinguishable from somebody that is. What the hell were you thinking?

You took that risk by choosing to use the phrase in public chat. Also, calling for reports is a form of harassment and can be reported in and of it self. The system is a simple "True/False" check on whether a match was flagged for review, meaning 9 players reporting another player at the end of the same match has the exact same weight as a single report against a player.
