flame in normals

is it just because of the weekend or has the flame in normal games gone up so much? last game we were WINNING (our adc was 5/0, top 4/0, jungle 2/0) but our mid laner was feeding. so our zed gets towerdived for the third time and our jungle starts spam pinging and calling him garbage. Now zed didnt like that so he started going all out with his flame, the usual classic kid insults like i fk your mom, i banged your sister, etc etc. while we were winning. why do people feel the need to start flaming people when the rest of the map is hard winning? lol.

and just the other game I got flamed for being an otp yuumi. (this is my yuumi only account. i have mastery 5 on her with not a single point of another champ. my match history is just yuumi.) the enemy team would start calling me garbage, egirl, who would main a champ that is more boring than sona. (which is bs. since when can sona jump around her allies.) i didnt let it get to me and just muted (and turned my allchat off..)

but what is with the increase in toxicity? especially with adcs. i got called garbage and that i should go afk by my 2/5/1 adc when i was 5/1/19...xd
