PC culture, shaming, free speech and the right to defend oneself
I think it's a pretty sick state of affairs in the way this game's "harassment" policies are policed. The tribunal system encourages participants to ALWAYS vote to punish, regardless of any facts. Team of 3-4 people can gang up, bully, harass and insult or intentionally be uncooperative in-game and suffer zero reprisal. And if you so much as dare to type a word in defense of yourself, they will just band together and report you. Then once it gets to the tribunal you are guaranteed a sanction because players are REWARDED FOR PUNISHING. It is a really stupid set-up. You get these players on your own team with champs like anivia and trundle who purposefully put walls or pillars in your path, or who bait you into a bad, reachy fight across multiple waves of minions, only to back out when it is too late for you, and then BLAME you repeatedly. SPamming meaningless pings, intentionally trying to get people on tilt. Then when you defend yourself, they cry foul. And Riot is encouraging this kind of behavior because they reward people for punishing. So it encourages people to queue together, troll an outsider, and get free points for bullying someone so much that they lash out in self-defense.
I think Riot actually banks on banning a lot of players as they know that people will create new accounts and buy more RP to replace the things they lost. Riot knows exactly what they are doing.
Bet they're a bunch of leftists.
