any way to make this not happen, or does i keep having to lose lp because of them?

Don't declare your champion if you are afraid of someone banning it. Or wait until after ban phase.
Bans take priority over pick and making a system to completely prevent people from banning a certain champ could prove troublesome.
intentionally? sadly, banning your champs is not punishable regardless of intentionally or not, its actually so dam sad.
Stop showing the champ you want to play as an intended pick. Intent pick something similar to the one you wanna play. Like if you wanna play yi, show xin. If you wanna play a tank jg, show a tank jg, but not the specific one you want to play.
