This is so stupid. This double punishment, and makes people not want to play.

"Players that have received game bans for player behavior (verbal or gameplay toxicity) will not receive ranked rewards UNLESS they have had no punishments for AT LEAST 3 MONTHS up to the End of Season."

3 months? thats 2190 HOURS! each game last 35 - 1 hour sometimes at max. Meaning thats gonna be over 2,000 games or more in the mean time of not getting rewards? Where does that make any sense? thats over kill. That should be for people who have the 2ND degree offence, 25 games plus or have been banned for 2 weeks. Not first time offenders. I have recently gotten a 10 game i grinded through the games, to be granted 3 months with no hextech? thats literally the most bullshit i've heard in my life there are even other players thinking it's over kill.

Thats literally more hours then i think people can actually put into the game, it makes me want to not even play anymore and stop even giving my money to riot, i mean come the hell on.

I mean, they dont have to give you anything. If youre not a bastard, shouldnt be an issue.

You've misread it. It is talking about the 14 day ban when it says "game ban". If you get another punishment before 3 months after a 14 day ban it's going to be a permaban anyway.

Ineligibility for Ranked Rewards due to a chat restriction is (by previous rules) only when you have an active chat restriction when the season ends.

So toxic players aren't gonna wanna play the game anymore. Is that a bad thing?

Then maybe... you could just not be toxic. Wow! What an amazing concept!

Wouldn't it just make the most sense then to simply not get banned for anything? Outside of pings, I basically don't talk in games at all and have literally no worries about being reported or getting banned for anything because of it. While I can agree perhaps that is an excessive amount of time for a first time offender, but really, when it comes down to it, being banned it supposed to be avoided naturally; stuff like this just enforces that because people see these kinds of posts then and go, "Geez man, I hope that doesn't happen to me." So, I mean, chances are nothing is gonna change on the matter, though I can see where your point is at least.

There's no time frame for hextech restrictions to expire. It could take two weeks, it could over 9 months. It depends on you.

Riot NeuroCat On Reddit:

We're working on putting out a better explanation for this. For players that are punished by the Instant Feedback system and work off the punishment, they will still be restricted from earning Hextech chests or keys for a period while the system ensures that they have reformed their behavior. There is no fixed interval here - if you continue to play with sportsmanlike behavior, you'll eventually get back into good standing. We're looking into making a player's status more clear/visible to help avoid this kind of confusion.

For the automatic system, it's 3 months of real time, not 3 months of game time, to drop a punishment tier.
