The instant feedback system is incredibly harsh.

This is mostly just me venting to be honest, but it's also to point out just how harsh the instant feedback system is. After reading the rules about it I don't have much hope for getting my ban lifted or shortened. Basically got absolutely plastered last night and decided to go on a toxic rampage, which lasted all of one game. Also I threw up in my sink which isn't relevant at all but there you go. The thing is, I'm not normally a toxic player, I don't have a history of being toxic, I've never been suspended or chat restricted. I'm sure I've been reported for random off the wall things, since people tend to report for pretty dumb reasons sometimes.

I'm not defending my behavior at all, I realize there need to be consequences and I was being extremely toxic, no doubt that literally everyone reported me. But wow. Instant permaban. After one game, to a player who's usually pretty positive actually. I like the idea of the instant feedback system, but I think it could seriously use some work in differentiating truly toxic players from people like me who just had a bad day.

i would suggest opening a support ticket. explaining your situation and you MIGHT be able to have your punishement reduced to a 14 day ban. no guarantees though.

The system is INCREDIBLY draconian, yes.

Are you certain it was a permaban for language? I mean, I know people can get instantly permabanned in one go for extreme language, I just don't recall hearing anyone bring it up on the boards before.

The reason I ask is there are "permabans" for other things, such as if Riot thinks your account was compromised. If it was for that, then reaching out to support to verify you're the account owner could get you unbanned.

From the "My Account is Suspended" Support Article:

WHY ARE YOU SO HARSH? The Instant Feedback System was developed by Riot Games so that players in the League of Legends community can dictate what conduct they consider inappropriate for a positive gameplay environment. Regardless of the circumstances (such as provocation), behaviors such as in-game taunting, harassment, cursing, offensive remarks, intentionally feeding, intentionally not making a contribution to your team, etc., will be reported and likely punished by the Instant Feedback System.

Hopefully your future games will be better than your past ones were for you there.

These days you can't say anything without offending someone. I deal with it by just keeping my mouth shut and saying as little as possible. Works out well.

Granny, if you ever make a new account, you should definately add me, I would like to play with you sometimes ;) an hugs hope you feel better. It's just best to learn from past mistakes and don't make them again in the future. But yeah, would definately love to play with you sometimes. You can add Realest Riven, Fresh Choice or Steve Lai. :D

Here's the thing: you have to do/say some certain things to get that type of ban.

Just b/c you got drunk doesn't give you the right to harass people and make it okay. For example, drunk drivers still get charged when they cause and accident.

Look into taking responsibility for your actions and stop blaming the world for your problems.

I don't think the system is harsh. You can be annoying every game as long as you don't say stuff that would get you fired or beat up in real life.

Needs to be improved to detect more annoying IMO.

OP is lucky he didn't go on his drunken rant in West Hollywood and get beat up by trans women.

hard to believe that story...did your ban card only show 1 game? i doutb that, usually its 3

Sarutobi10/5/2016, 4:02:35 PM1 votes

I mean it's not uncommon for people to get first offense permaban for toxic behavior. Although usually those are for extreme toxic behavior, like racial/homophobic slurs, threatening to kill someone are all warrant to an automatic permaban.

With that said if you do wanna discuss your punishment by all means post your chatlogs as it would help in understanding why the punishment was so harsh!

Astôlfo10/5/2016, 4:59:27 PM1 votes

If you got first offense permanent ban, you seriously screwed up. It's entirely your fault.
